As we approach #EarthOvershootDay, we’ll be taking a deep dive into the circular economy, exploring its role in reducing emissions and how we can all close the circularity gap. Our circularity approach considers the entire product lifecycle from design to sourcing, with a focus on resource-efficient production, minimizing virgin or hazardous materials and responsible end-of-life services. Preventing and reducing resource use and reusing materials in a global circular economy are key strategies to protect the Earth’s environment and maintain its capacity to provide for current and future generations. Green hydrogen - a key enabler of the energy transition! Green hydrogen is made by splitting water (H₂O) into hydrogen (H₂) and oxygen (O₂) using renewable energy like wind and solar. This process is called water electrolysis. The International Energy Agency (IEA) sees green hydrogen as crucial for reducing emissions and reaching net zero by 2050. It’s especially important for sectors where electrification is challenging.
