We’re excited to share Alliance to Zero's brand-new Product Carbon Footprint Guideline (PCF) & Net Zero Requires Circularity paper! 📄 Since June 2021, along with our partners we have been mapping the carbon footprint of auto-injectors to achieve net zero injection devices. 🌍 The PFC Guideline introduces a value-chain approach to carbon foot-printing, designed to help pharma companies, end users, regulators and other key stakeholders understand the full carbon footprint of automated disposable injection devices. ♻ The Net Zero Requires Circularity paper highlights the essential collaboration among various players in the self-injection device supply chain to achieve a net zero product offering, providing evidence for the urgent need to transition to a circular economy. We are excited to announce the publication of the Alliance’s Product Carbon Footprint Guideline (PCF) & Net Zero Requires Circularity paper. 📄 When we formed the Alliance in June 2021, we immediately got to work to collaborate on mapping the PCF of the auto-injector. This first critical step allowed the Alliance to identify the essential steps in carbon emission reductions that would deliver our goal of net zero injection devices. 🌍 The Product Carbon Footprint Guideline was created to introduce a value-chain approach to carbon foot-printing, we hope it will be used to enable pharmaceutical companies, as well as the end user, regulators, and other key stakeholders to develop an understanding of the full footprint of an automated disposable injection device. ♻ The Net Zero Requires Circularity paper describes the collaboration required between various players in the self-injection device supply chain to achieve a net zero product offering. This week we celebrated #WorldEnvironmentDay!
