    I believe in the power of personal stories and especially in sharing them in the business world. Attitude Magazine UK and myGwork - LGBTQ+ Business Community have published my story today on National Coming Out Day: 🌈 Queer role models were completely lacking when growing up - and to this day I think we do not have enough queer role models in the business world. 🌈 I am very thankful to have had access to a queer peer-to-peer counselling platform called "du-bist-du". I did not know how to handle being gay, was fearful about my future and knew I had to change something to stop this energy draining process. 🌈 After my coming out experience, I wanted to make accepting oneself as a queer person easier for others. I founded Pride Month @HSG - just this weeks taking place for the 5th time at the Universität St.Gallen (HSG) 🌈 I strongly believe that we can only be successful at the workplace if we can bring our full selves to work. We should not have to waste energy on dealing with micro aggressions and hiding. 🌈 In the first week at Accenture DACH, I reached out to the local Pride team Julia Lobo del Monte, Julia Stübi, Andrea Bachmann and have since then been able to shape our LGBTQ+ activities and create impact inside and outside of Accenture. 🌈 Bringing to life Betty Business and her mission to bring more pink & glitter to the business world has brought so much joy. Drag is my tool to inspire more diversity, inclusion and equality at the workplace and in society. I present powerpoint slides in front of business people and distribute laptop stickers with the imprint "We need more pink & glitter in business." Not being able to have a career as a gay man was one of my biggest concerns as a teenager. Now seeing this, how my employer brings me on the front page of Attitude Magazine is truly touching. Thank you everyone who supported me on my journey, personally and professionally - and the over 1000 people that carry my sticker on their laptops.     Find me on the cover of the latest edition of the Tages-Anzeiger magazine Züritipp. 🤩🥳 The magazine portrays the diversity of Zurich's drag scene. A bunch of people that are, quoting the queen of the scene, Milky Diamond, "courageous." Featuring: - Milky Diamond, drag workshop host and my drag mum - Assigned female at birth queen Sam the Witch - The drag kings and quings (mix of queen & king) group the Heart Throb Mob consisting of trans and non-binary artists. - ...and me, the business drag queen who cannot sing or dance but presents PowerPoint slides.     Pride is a demonstration at heart … and I demand more pink & glitter in business. Classic me of course with a print of Powerpoint slide 😎   We need more pink & glitter in business. Why? Because we spend a large part of our lives at work – a place with many questionable norms and excluding practices.   I want that the business world seeks inspiration from 🏳️🌈 queer spaces. Immersed in strong social norms that disapprove of them, they design their own life and define their own norms. They are brave. They experiment. In spaces that accept and embrace their identities, they are so powerful and energetic. 💪   I want a business world that is brave as well. One that questions norms and experiments outside of them. One that is inclusive and more fun.   … or in other words: the business world is simply missing out. If you need it more clearly: missing out on PERFORMANCE!   Happy Pride! 🏳️🌈

This city “between the two” sets the stage for our exploration of today’s critical dualities: #AI and human agency, #growth and degrowth, extraction and regeneration, #capitalism and #wellbeing, algorithms and social justice, the political in the personal, and the personal in the political. As the old systems falter and new visions emerge, more than 85 speakers and 700 global leaders in business, science, art, and activism converge to craft a narrative for a life-centered economy.     Women in Switzerland could pay for their flat for a full year with the money they are missing out on due to the Gender Pension Gap. This is just crazy! Sadly, many women are not aware of the Gender Pension Gap. Change it! Share this post on LinkedIn, download the pictures and reupload them on anywhere. Instagram, LinkedIn, Whatsapp status, Facebook etc. Help me getting the word out to as many women as possible! And yes, I must admit, I do not only eat cucumbers. I calculate how many bags of those crispy, delicious chips I could buy with that money.     In Switzerland, women receive about 1/3 less pension compared to men. Key to reduce the Gender Pension Gap is early awareness among women on the topic. In Cash or Crash, Mona and I showed how much having 1/3 less money is. In absolute numbers, women get 17'293 CHF less pension per year - one could buy a car for that money!   The foundation for the Gender Pension Gap was established in the 20th century when gender roles were formed and promoted.   Sadly, those gender roles are persistent. In Switzerland, girls still opt for jobs with lower income and boys go for MINT subjects.   The decision to have a baby between 30 and 40 years and taking a break from work in this time has a major impact on the total earning potential over one’s lifetime because this is also the time in which careers progress the fastest.   Additionally, women know less about finances. Studies show that financial literacy of women is lower compared to men. In all countries studied.   Last but not least, culture at the workplace limits women’s career potential. We need more pink and glitter at the workplace and normalize that so it is not considered as weak and inferior.   What can you personally do?     Cash or Crash - leider crasht es bei Frauen im Alter viel eher als bei Männern. Machtlos sind Frauen aber zum Glück nicht. Der Schlüssel liegt in einer frühen Auseinandersetzung mit den Themen Familienplanung, Karriere und Geld. Mona Gamie und ich werden darum morgen in Kreuzlingen mit Powerpointfolien, Glitzer und Musik junge Menschen zum Nachdenken anregen.     "There are only 2 genders..., gender studies is not academic, feminism isn't necessary anymore, men are more discriminated than women #facts" - when we lauched Pride Month @HSG, we triggered a shitstorm. This was one of the rather nice comments on the Pride Month. Loud individuals on the HSG campus attacked the university for giving us a platform, the pride idea itself (why is there no straight pride) and the team personally. In the interview with Thriving Talent I share how I deal with negative forces on my mission to contribute to a more qual society. Because let's face it, #Diversity & #Inclusion work can be energy draining. Thank you Thriving Talent for inviting me to be the first DEI Changemaker <3

    How many times have you heard "Happy New Year" in the last couple of days? Since everyone is looking for clarity on the topic, let me just define it: It is officially not socially accepted anymore to wish anyone a Happy New Year. It is over for this year. Now. Which New Year were you referring to anyway? If you work in a global company with “offshore” “resources” it is likely that your New Year is not their New Year.
