Last Thursday, October 24th, we had the privilege of hiking at the foot of Säntis, with a fantastic group of emba X students, prospective candidates and faculty members. It was a refreshing opportunity to disconnect from our digital lives and reconnect with nature, ourselves and each other. 🌿✨ Led by our guides, Linda Meixner and Christoph Matt, the hike provided a taste of some of the themes presented in our Executive MBA ETH HSG: balance, sustainability and holistic leadership development. After conquering the trails, we enjoyed a cosy dinner at Schwägalp, where connections were made, stories were shared and memories created. 🏔️🥾🍷 This afternoon truly embodied the spirit of our emba X programme—fostering personal growth and leadership skills while reminding us of the importance of mental and physical well-being in today’s fast-paced world. Get creative – the theme of our last emba X social event 🎨 Two weeks ago, we took our emba X3 students on a creative workshop session as part of their emba X course week. Parinitha Mundra, who is part of the ETH team, held an inspiring painting workshop with our students. Why did we do it? Congratulations, emba X2 settlers! 🎉 After an adventurous and challenging (alpine) journey, we got to celebrate your achievements (and your safe return to the valley) at graduation last Saturday, October 18th, 2024, at ETH Zurich – and we’re incredibly proud of you! As only the second cohort to ever complete the emba X programme, you settled the path for many more brave adventurers to come in the future. We’re now looking back on a heartfelt ceremony, including speeches from Prof. Dr. Barbara Weber, Vice-President of the University of St.Gallen, and Prof. Dr. Stefano Brusoni, Vice-Rector of ETH Zürich and Co-Founder of the emba X programme, as well as an inspiring keynote from Monika Sattler, 2x cycling record holder. Having climbed 124 peaks in Switzerland within 26 days with her bike, she shared a few insights about her own alpine journey with us.
