I am exited to share that our latest review article: "The Gut Microbiome Advances Precision Medicine and Diagnostics for Inflammatory Bowel Diseases" 🧫🦠 has been published in the International Journal of Molecular Sciences MDPI Impact Factor: 4.9 , CiteScore 8.1 ⭐️ In this review , we discuss recent advancements in understanding the role of gut microbiome in both promoting and preventing inflammatory bowel disease (IBD). We highlight innovative, targeted approaches to reverse dysbiosis through precision editing of the microbiome. We analyze limitations, opportunities and potential clinical applications of this promising therapeutic strategy for IBD treatment, prevention, and diagnosis. I would like to extend my deepest gratitude to my supervisor, Dr Walaa Mousa, PhD for her continuous support, guidance and encouragement ✨ Looking forward to more publications under your mentorship!✨ Link of the review: https://lnkd.in/dhedn73b #Gut_microbiome #Dysbiosis #IBD #Precision_medicine

Colorectal cancer is becoming increasingly common in younger people, according to the National Cancer Institute (NCI). Research published in the International Journal of Molecular Sciences MDPI looks at the molecular and clinical evidence behind the benefit of high fiber diets in lowering the risk of colorectal cancer (CRC). The review, cited in TIME, runs through the molecular pathology of CRC, features of dietary fiber, and current knowledge on the role of dietary fiber in preventing cancer. This includes features such as fiber's water-holding capacities, role in maintaining gut microbiome homeostasis, and its interaction with butyrate – a type of bacteria that breaks down fiber, associated with cancer prevention.
