Yesterday, our colleagues at Mammut's headquarters in Seon, Switzerland, were left temporarily speechless after an exclusive preview of the film Sama by our friends at ClimbAID. Sama tells the story of Hiba, a Syrian refugee, and Sabine, a Lebanese local, who have found unity and strength through climbing in Lebanon’s Bekaa Valley. With the support of ClimbAID, they face social and personal challenges while striving for independence and becoming leaders. The film is touring international film festivals. Here, you can check out the trailer: https://lnkd.in/dXy4QN4j Thank you Beat Martin Baggenstos and team for your inspiring work and Alice Martin, Olga and Yehya for sharing your stories.

We had the pleasure of hosting our climbing athlete, Katherine Choong, for an empowering talk! ✨ As the first Swiss woman to climb a 9a route and the first women ever to complete a one-day redpoint ascent of the challenging multi-pitch route Zahir (8b+, 300m), Katherine certainly has no shortage of impressive perspectives to share. From overcoming challenges and pushing physical and mental limits to promoting inclusivity in the outdoor industry, Katherine's insights were truly inspiring. 💪 Join us as we continue to celebrate the strength and resilience of women in climbing and beyond. Let's learn from Katherine's experiences and stay motivated, even in the face of adversity. 📷️ Julien Nadiras #InternationalWomensDay #Mammut #RiseWithTheMountain

Elevating Safety in the Freeride World Tour We are thrilled to be the official safety partner of the FIS Freeride World Tour (FWT), where the world's top skiers and snowboarders push the limits of freeride sports. At Mammut, safety is our top priority, and we are dedicated to ensuring that athletes can perform at their best while staying safe in the mountains. Ahead of the first competition in Baqueira-Beret, we held an exclusive safety workshop led by two-time FWT champion and Mammut athlete Wallner Nadine, along with our Avalanche Safety Product Manager, Jacqueline Miler. This workshop provided athletes with crucial avalanche safety knowledge, including the proper use of avalanche transceivers and strategies to minimize signal interference from other electronic devices. Nadine Wallner emphasizes, "When it comes to avalanche safety, there is always something new to learn." This commitment to continuous learning and improvement is at the heart of our approach to avalanche safety. Discover more about our partnership and how we are making freeriding safer for everyone in our latest article "Safe on the Go: Freeriding Like the Pros". https://lnkd.in/dhMDSPXa Stay safe and ride on! 🏔️❄️

How to Buy a Mountain: The Story of Shames We are thrilled to share the inspiring journey of Shames Mountain, a testament to the power of community and resilience. Facing closure in 2008, the community banded together to create the first co-operative model in Canada. Local individuals, businesses, societies, and corporations worked together to purchase the mountain in 2011 and operate the hill as a community. Today, a decade later, Shames continues to remain open and serves as a model for local resorts across the globe. This incredible story is now captured in the film "How to Buy a Mountain." As Maddie P. from Mammut North America perfectly put it: "As storytellers and brand stewards, we have the unique opportunity to celebrate and amplify these authentic narratives. This isn’t just about sharing what makes Shames special—it’s about fostering a culture where diverse resort models can coexist, thrive, and continue to serve as gathering places that bring people together. At the heart of it all, it’s a celebration of the outdoors as a unifying force." Thank you to Shames for allowing us to share your story. #Risewiththemountain #community https://lnkd.in/d45imU7v
