Through close collaboration with the local community, they developed and implemented five targeted interventions aimed at enhancing the quality of life in Gandria. The village served as a living laboratory, offering innovative solutions that could inspire similar contexts elsewhere. Unlocking a New Access Point in Santiago's Metro: Engineering Excellence in Action Pini Group has successfully developed the engineering design for the North Access of the Baquedano Station on Metro Line 7 in Santiago, Chile. This complex project involved the construction of a pedestrian tunnel crossing under the Mapocho River and the Costanera Norte Highway, providing a crucial connection to one of the secondary galleries of Baquedano Station. The innovative design includes a 25-meter circular construction shaft, open trench access, and comprehensive plans for fixed and mechanical stairs, elevators, and other essential infrastructure elements. Our team worked with advanced BIM methodologies and 3D modeling to ensure precise execution, while also addressing critical environmental and public concerns. Mighty Quinn’s Steady Progress in Columbus   Work on the Lower Olentangy Tunnel (LOT) is taking Pini Group and Granite Construction beneath the Olentangy River, highways, utilities, sensitive structures, and densely populated areas of the City of Columbus. The TBM for this job—nicknamed Mighty Quinn—is ideal for boring through sand, gravel, cobbles, and boulders. Digitalisation en BIM du Métro M2 de Lausanne L'équipe géomatique de Pini Group a entamé les acquisitions 3D pour la digitalisation en BIM du métro M2 de Lausanne. Elle a réussi à couvrir les premiers 400 mètres en combinant diverses techniques de mesure : Acquisition précise de la géométrie des voies par le système GEDO Acquisition LiDAR SLAM des tunnels entre les arrêts du métro Acquisition LiDAR statique des arrêts du métro Le défi qui a mis l'équipe à l'épreuve n'était pas seulement de proposer et de mettre en œuvre les solutions techniques les plus adaptées en termes de précision et de flexibilité, mais aussi d'optimiser le temps restreint à sa disposition, de gérer les conditions locales et de coordonner tous les acteurs impliqués dans l'intervention. Le métro le plus incliné du monde aura bientôt sa maquette 3D sémantique, facilitant ainsi la gestion de l'inventaire des objets et la modernisation de sa gestion.
