☀ Just in time for the summer solstice, the longest day of the year with the most sunshine, we inaugurated plant DAWN. It is our first industrial-scale demonstration plant for the production of synthetic fuels from solar energy. ⛽ We will now continue to commission the plant to start fuel production soon. Our engineers worked on the calibration of the heliostats and couldn’t resist getting creative with our precise control system. They tried to create a beautiful display of concentrated sunlight around the receiver area. The podcast also refreshes our memory with an interesting summary of the history of aviation and kerosene dating back to 1903. 💧 Kerosene is the preferred way to power an aircraft because of its high energy density.
