🔐Terra Quantum AG Cracks the Code: Real-World Quantum Encryption is here! At Terra Quantum AG, we are redefining the future of secure communications with cutting-edge quantum technologies. Our latest research, “In-Field Quantum-Protected Control-Based Key Distribution with a Lossy Urban Fiber Link,” represents a major step forward in quantum cryptography, proving that secure quantum communication can be deployed in real-world fiber networks. 🤝A landmark achievement in quantum-safe networking Until now, implementing Quantum Key Distribution (#QKD) in real-world fiber infrastructure has faced significant challenges due to high signal losses. Our research successfully demonstrates the first-ever in-field implementation of Quantum-Protected Control-Based Key Distribution (#QCKD)—an advanced protocol that overcomes these limitations by introducing a physical loss control mechanism. 👉The major achievements are as follows: • First real-world demonstration of #QCKD in an operational urban fiber network. • Robust performance even in high-loss fiber infrastructure, proving real-world viability. • Innovative loss control technique using optical time-domain reflectometry (#OTDR) and transmittometry, ensuring secure key distribution despite challenging conditions. • Achieved a high stable secret key rate which is a breakthrough result, demonstrating the practical deployment of quantum-secure encryption over existing fiber networks. 💭Wondering why this matters? The rise of quantum computing threatens traditional cryptographic methods, making it essential to develop future-proof security solutions. #QKD is a game-changer - it ensures security against even the most advanced adversaries by leveraging fundamental quantum properties, rather than computational complexity. Most importantly, our research proves that quantum cryptography can work in today’s urban fiber networks without requiring costly infrastructure overhauls. ♡This milestone was made possible thanks to the brilliant efforts of our CEO Markus Pflitsch, CTO Valerii Vinokur, Vladlen Statiev, Abdufattokh Ashurov, Vladimir Semenov, Dmitrii Kozliuk, Vladislav Zemlyanov, Aleksei Kodukhov, and Valeria Pastushenko. We are now one step closer to building a quantum-secure world. 📖 Read the full paper here: https://lnkd.in/eNTD9irE and below👇 #QuantumIsNow #QuantumCryptography #QuantumComputing #QuantumSecurity #CyberSecurity #FutureOfSecurity

Advancing AI Efficiency: Hyperparameter Optimization and Model Compression We are pleased to share that our latest research on hyperparameter optimization and neural network compression has been published in MDPI Applied Sciences Journal. Building on our previous breakthroughs in large language model (#LLM) compression with #TQCompressor, this new study expands our work on efficient #AI by optimizing both hyperparameter selection and model compression for computer vision neural networks. Key Contributions: ‣ Hyperparameter Optimization (#HPO): We introduce #TetraOpt, a tensor-based optimization algorithm that outperforms Bayesian Optimization, Particle Swarm Optimization, and Genetic Algorithms in efficiently identifying high-performing configurations for convolutional neural networks. ‣ Neural Network Compression: By integrating CP, SVD, and Tucker tensor decompositions, we achieved: • 14.5× compression of ResNet-18 and 2.5× compression of ResNet-152 with minimal accuracy loss • Comparable inference speeds despite significantly fewer parameters • Scalability across architectures and datasets (CIFAR-10, Tiny ImageNet) ‣ Expanding Real-World AI Applications: • Edge AI & IoT: Enabling high-quality computer vision on low-power devices (e.g., security cameras, smart sensors). • Industrial AI: Enhancing efficiency in energy, manufacturing, and predictive maintenance. • Sustainability: Reducing AI's computational cost, energy consumption, and carbon footprint. How This Builds on Our Previous Research? This latest publication follows our previous work on #LLM compression, including #TQCompressor, which was presented at IEEE MIPR 2024 alongside researchers from University of California, Berkeley, Google, Amazon Web Services (AWS), NVIDIA, and Intel. Our GPT-2 compression breakthrough, published in IEEE, demonstrated how tensor decomposition can significantly reduce AI model size while maintaining performance, making on-device AI more practical, private, and energy-efficient. At Terra Quantum AG, we continue to push the frontiers of efficient AI, integrating quantum-inspired tensor network techniques to optimize and compress AI models at scale. A special thanks to Aleksei N. for leading this research, along with Alexey Melnikov, Michael Perelshtein, and Artem Melnikov, for their outstanding contributions. ⚖️ New research by Terra Quantum AG’s CPO Dr. Florian Neukart provides an elegant solution to one of cosmology's most enduring mysteries: the matter-antimatter imbalance. 💥 Theoretically, the Big Bang should have produced matter and antimatter in equal quantities. However, this did not happen, leading to one of the most significant puzzles in modern physics. 🌌 Quantum Entanglement Asymmetry (#QEA) links microscopic quantum phenomena to the large-scale structure of the universe. This explains the imbalance of antiparticles and antimatter and bridges quantum mechanics, particle physics and cosmology—the study of the origins of the universe. 🖥️ Using advanced simulations, QEA can reproduce the matter-antimatter asymmetry of the universe consistent with current data. This evidence proves that the imbalance of matter and antimatter results from quantum entanglement, which impacts and shapes the universe at large. 💾 This explanation provided by QEA also supports the Quantum Memory Matrix (#QMM) hypothesis recently published by the Terra Quantum AG team. If quantum entanglement can influence spacetime, as the paper suggests, the #QMM is the mechanism to encode and preserve information even in extreme conditions like black holes. Check out our previous post on the #QMM here: https://lnkd.in/e5G3CaT6 and read the full paper on QEA published in the MDPI journal Entropy here: https://lnkd.in/eXQkiER3 and below 👇 #QuantumIsNow #QuantumComputing #QuantumPhysics

📄At Terra Quantum AG, we are happy to see our latest research paper published in the ACS Publications Journal of Chemical Theory and Computation. Including more accurate molecular structures into in-silico drug discovery is of critical importance to improve accuracy of predictions. Yet the exponentially increasing scaling costs of calculating conformers for a large number of molecules is often prohibitive for using it widely across the CADD workflow. Our researchers employed tensor trains as a highly efficient dimensionality reduction algorithm to the problem and thereby achieved a 24x speed up against benchmarks whilst maintaining chemical accuracy. This achievement highlights one of several new approaches that Terra Quantum AG’s Drug Discovery team is using to develop better drug molecules. 🙌Congratulations to our colleagues Roman Ellerbrock, Alexander Paul, and our research partners for this achievement. 👉Check out https://lnkd.in/edc6Hy7V and https://lnkd.in/eHqSenuc for more info and background! #QuantumisNow #QuantumComputing #TensorTrains #DrugDiscovery
