📢 UN/CEFACT established a project “Transparency at scale: digital solutions for trust - resilience and sustainability” in 2023. 📈 As regulatory and consumer pressures drive up demand for #sustainable goods, the commercial incentive to make fake #sustainabilityclaims will increase. ➡️ This project aims to make fake claims hard and therefore drive industry to compete in a “race to the top” where commercial motivations exist for stronger and strong evidence of sustainable products. 🔗On 21 February the draft Recommendation has been published for a 2nd public review for 30-day period with deadline on 23 March: https://lnkd.in/ggBgXawD 🔹Building on UNECE Recommendation No. 46 which defined standard processes and data structures for textile & leather #traceability & #transparency, this new recommendation will provide guidance for nations on scaling traceability, transparency and #trust in #supplychains so that unsustainable practices have nowhere to hide. 💼We invite all enthusiastic experts in the field to contribute with comments and inputs!
