We are excited to reinforce our premium travel gear footprint in Asia with the global launch of our “Made To Be Prepared” campaign. Our evolved brand strategy puts further focus on innovation, combined with our relentless pursuit of excellence in everything we do. In a world filled with uncertainties, the best way to face challenges is by being well-prepared. The event's success truly embodied the core idea of the campaign that Victorinox upholds. We were honored to have several special guests at our event. They not only shared their personal travel stories and insights but also brought engaging interactions and interviews to the event. Additionally, one of our honored guests created bespoke luggage illustrations inspired by the campaign idea and led a Swiss Army Knife DIY painting workshop. Each participant had the opportunity to craft unique creations, adding a personal touch and making the event even more memorable. The Harbour Tour was more than just an event; it provided a unique and comprehensive experience of "Made To Be Prepared". Participants were introduced to 3 lifestyle experience zones, displaying an array of brand products and latest releases where they can put themselves in different real life scenarios to explore how our smart and masterful travel solutions can help tackle daily challenges, offering an in-depth understanding of how “Being Prepared Makes Life Better”. To provide a sweet and refreshing touch for every participant, Victorinox also partnered with TEEMTONFAI to create 3 exclusive "red-cup" ice cream treats. Celebrating Outstanding Design Quality at the Red Dot Awards The 2024 Red Dot Design Awards saw Victorinox yet again awarded for outstanding design, with winning products including the Venture knife collection, the kitchen utensils from the Gourmet series and the Airox Advanced luggage collection. On June 24th, all the winners met at the Red Dot Gala Award Ceremony at the Aalto Theater in Essen. Victorinox was represented by colleagues from the product categories, Martin Gerber (Senior Product Manager Swiss Army knives), Laura Juzenaite (Senior Product Manager Victorinox Travel Grear) and Davide Caimi (Senior Designer Travel Gear). The celebrations continued with the Designers' Night at the Red Dot Design Museum, which included the unveiling of a special exhibition titled "Milestones in Contemporary Design 2024". Zukunft Inklusion: Victorinox unterstützt Nationale Aktionstage Behindertenrechte Im Rahmen der Nationalen Aktionstage Behindertenrechte vom 15. Mai bis 15. Juni 2024 durften wir 20 Menschen mit Beeinträchtigung und ihre Begleitpersonen bei Victorinox am Standort Ibach-Schwyz begrüssen. Wir haben uns gefreut, ihnen einen exklusiven Einblick in unser Unternehmen zu gewähren. Die Teilnehmenden konnten zwischen vier verschiedenen Stationen rotieren, darunter ein Schnitz-Workshop mit Sackmesser-Experte Felix Immler und ein Produktionsrundgang. Dort erfuhren sie mehr über unsere Produkte, Produktionsprozesse und die Menschen hinter der Marke Victorinox. Freiwillige Victorinox-Mitarbeitende unterstützten diesen besonderen Tag, indem sie die Gruppen begleiteten und an den einzelnen Stationen mithalfen. Bei Victorinox glauben wir an Vielfalt und Zusammenhalt. Dieser Tag war eine grossartige Gelegenheit, unsere Werte in die Tat umzusetzen und Menschen mit Beeinträchtigung willkommen zu heissen. Do you know the story behind our brand? It all started in 1884 when Karl Elsener started his own enterprise with a small workshop in Ibach/Switzerland, offering all sorts of repair work for tools and also producing knives. From the very start he had a vision, a big dream, to become the supplier of knives for the Swiss soldiers. Our customers are an integral part of the legacy behind the iconic knife. Thirty-three years ago, Paul Auf der Maur found himself stranded midway between Tuktoyaktuk and Dawson City when his car broke down. This episode on the road from Tuktoyaktuk, along with a subsequent California sojourn with a new friend, exemplifies the enduring impact of the iconic knife.
