It's a wrap 🙌 The sporting goods industry showed up in force this United Nations General Assembly week in NY to both raise the profile of the growing physical inactivity numbers and work together on next steps to tackle the crisis. 👉 Thanks to the World Economic Forum for bringing our voice to the table of the Healthy Workforces discussion. We know that by adding more physical activity to an employee's day we can create a better overall lifestyle for workers across the globe. 👉 At AI for Healthy Cities hosted by Foreign Policy we heard that only 10-20% of our health is determined by the healthcare we access. 80-90% is determined by the conditions in which we are born, grow, live, work and age. This is where creating conditions to enable more physical activity can have tremendous impact both personally and economically. 👉 All these events helped inform our World Federation of the Sporting Goods Industry (WFSGI) Physical Activity Summit kindly hosted by Nike at their NY HQ. A tremendous turnout from our members and fellow federations enabled us to move forward our number one strategic priority and successfully showcase the amazing work our industry is doing. 🙏 Thank you to Think Beyond and McKinsey & Company for facilitating and to all our member companies for dedicating two days to work on ways to support the world to move more as a collective and... as expected... bringing your best yoga poses to the mat!🧘 Nike adidas arena New Balance ORBEA Under Armour Yonex PUMA Group Amer Sports SFIA - Sports & Fitness Industry Association PeopleForBikes IDA Sports Pentland Brands SRAM, LLC Wilson Sporting Goods Co. #physicalactivity #who #wef #unga #sportinggoods #workplacehealth
