#SSTC The recent study visit by agricultural stakeholders from Côte d'Ivoire and Guinea to China highlights the success of South-South cooperation between these nations. CERFAM is proud to facilitate the sharing of agricultural knowledge and foster international solidarity, with the support of the World Food Programme.

La faim et la malnutrition en Afrique demeurent des défis majeurs, avec plus de 281 millions de personnes sous-alimentées sur le continent 🌍. Le CERFAM, par sa mission de soutien aux États pour faire face à ces enjeux, facilite le partage de connaissances et de bonnes pratiques entre pays afin d’améliorer la production agricole et de renforcer les hashtag #SystèmesAlimentaires.

#GoodPractices in Africa 🌍 Our continent is rich in resources and innovations that have the potential to combat hunger and malnutrition. In #Kenya, a project aimed at strengthening the mango value chain has empowered households to enhance their productivity while increasing their incomes. #SSTC In recent years, significant efforts have been made to improve the rice value chain across the continent 🌍. In Côte d'Ivoire and Guinea, the rice value chain project, jointly implemented by Programme Alimentaire Mondial , CERFAM, and the WFP Centre of Excellence for Rural Transformation in China, has facilitated valuable knowledge and experience sharing between Chinese and African stakeholders.

Since September 20, CERFAM has participated in a study visit to #China with experts from the Ministries of Agriculture of Guinea and Côte d'Ivoire, along with smallholder organizations and the Programme Alimentaire Mondial . The aim is to explore Chinese solutions for post-harvest loss management and adapt them to local contexts.

#LeSaviezVous ? En 2023, la Chine a cultivé 28,9 millions d'hectares de riz 🌾, avec un rendement moyen de 7,14 T/ha. Les gouvernements africains peuvent s'inspirer de cette réussite en investissant dans la mécanisation et la recherche de nouvelles variétés, tout en adoptant de bonnes pratiques agricoles.

En cette journée internationale de la #CoopérationSudSud, célébrons un modèle de collaboration qui se révèle être un puissant moteur de transformation pour les pays du Sud. En favorisant le partage d'expériences et de bonnes pratiques, elle accélère l'atteinte de l'ODD2 en #Afrique 🌍.
