    GeneMind Ultra-high Throughput Sequencing Platform SURFSeq Q GRAND LAUNCH 🔥 The SURFSeq Q is an ultra-high throughput sequencing platform designed primarily for large population cohort studies, single-cell, and spatial omics research. By incorporating several innovative technologies, including lightning chemistry, patterned array sequencing flow cell and advanced AI learning basecalling algorithm, the SURFSeq Q is capable of achieving a Q40 score >=90%. In dual flow cell mode, the SURFSeq Q system can offer up to 9 Tb of output in a single day and a total output of up to 14 Tb in a single run. This capacity allows for the whole genome sequencing of more than 23,000 individuals each year. Users have the flexibility to mix and match between two flow cell types, allowing them to run one or two flow cells at a time. They can also choose from eight sequencing kits to easily adjust output and sample throughput for each sequencing run. The FCM flow cell is capable of generating 11.7B PE reads, while the FCH flow cell can generate 23.3B PE reads. Thanks to its user-friendly design, the system features individually addressable flow cell lanes with automated onboard independent lane loading. This allows users to easily split projects and samples across up to eight lanes. Additionally, it supports resuming sequencing from a break-point and enables users to monitor the sequencing run using their mobile devices, from anywhere and at any time.     To address food security challenges and climate change, the polyploid wild rice Oryza alta has been explored as a potential crop, although it suffers from seed shattering. We employed mesoporous silica nanoparticles (MSNs) to deliver small interfering RNAs (siRNAs) for targeted gene silencing. Through different methods, we successfully built an MSN-siRNA system and then tracked MSN in rice leaves by TEM. O. alta was treated with MSN-siRNA via spray or infiltration, followed by histological analysis, fluorescence microscopy, a BTS experiment, RNA extraction, RT-PCR, and quantitative PCR. We also performed betacyanin extraction and detection, and transcriptome sequencing (GeneMind SURFSeq 5000 platform, PE150). The results show that our MSN-siRNA system provides a flexible, non-permanent approach to modifying crop traits, offering a promising tool for sustainable agricultural practices.
