In celebration of International Women’s Day 2025, we recently hosted a series of events across our offices in Hong Kong and Kuala Lumpur under the theme “Holding Up the Sky: Celebrating Strength in Diversity”, with a focus on empowerment and well-being. We kicked off with an insightful talk by Dr. Nur Syafrina Mohd Sharif, Ph.D , PPG’s Global Head of ESG & Sustainability, on Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging (DEIB)—highlighting the importance of fostering a sustainable and inclusive workplace culture at PPG. We were also honoured to welcome Yuet Kim Lim, CEO & Co-Founder of PichaEats, a social enterprise that empowers refugee families from war-torn countries—including Palestine, Syria, Myanmar, and Afghanistan—by helping them earn a living through their culinary skills. She shared her inspiring journey as a female entrepreneur and how her impactful work promotes equality and empowers others to find strength amid adversity. As part of our commitment to continuous learning, our Global L&D team also organized a Lunch & Learn session on “AI Skills for the Future of Work” in collaboration with LinkedIn, equipping our colleagues to thrive in the evolving workplace in the age of AI. Our EMEA team recently hosted an exclusive Iftar dinner at the Kempinski Royal Maxim Palace in Cairo, celebrating the holy month of Ramadan. We were especially honoured by the presence of the leadership teams from our partners, Cairo Airport Company (CAC) and Egypt Aviation Services (EAS). This evening also brought together esteemed guests from across the aviation and travel industry, including representatives from leading airlines, senior executives from top banks, major travel agencies, and valued partners. Following our recent announcement of six new lounges at Cairo International Airport, we are excited to be expanding Plaza Premium Group's footprint in this vital regional hub. The event brought together over 20 key travel and tourism leaders from Hong Kong SAR and the Greater Bay Area, including representatives from: The Tourism Commission, Culture, Sports & Tourism Bureau; the Macao Government Tourism Office; the Hong Kong Tourism Board; Shangri-La Group; Trip.com, and the School of Hotel and Tourism Management at The Hong Kong Polytechnic University and more. This event provided a valuable opportunity for industry leaders to connect and exchange insights on the future of tourism in Hong Kong.
