3 best Bank accounts for foreigners in the Czech Republic 🏦 ❗️Pay special attention to the 3rd one, as there is no such thing on the market and it actually solves one of the biggest problems expats face with banking in the Czech Republic. 1️⃣ Raiffeisenbank - They are a solid bank - This bank has online banking and the app in English - You have access to multiple currencies, free if you meet some conditions 2️⃣ Airbank - Is one of the few banks that open bank accounts to tourists (people without Visa) Now the well-kept secret and the best bank account there is for foreigners: 3️⃣ Special CSOB account One of the biggest problems expats face in CZE is getting a loan or a mortgage when they need/want one. This is especially complicated for self-employed people since there is often a difference between their real income and their tax return. However, this bank account eliminates this problem entirely and whatever amounts (offers) you see in your banking are what you get without proving your income. If you want to set up this bank account, get in touch, and will be pleased to arrange it! 😍 #movetoprague #movingabroad #czechrepublic #Cz #czechia #praguecity #praguelife #praguetoday #expats #bank #bankaccount #account #assistance #help #onlinebanking #bankaccounts #selfemployed #money #foreigners #banking

Key Changes in Czech Immigration Law - 2023 In 2023, significant changes occurred in Czech immigration law, notably the cancellation of the pVZP monopoly on health insurance. This allows foreigners living in the Czech Republic to choose from various insurance providers, enhancing competition and potentially lowering costs. The End of pVZP Monopoly As of 20.9.2023, other private insurance companies are permitted to offer comprehensive health insurance plans. This change means that if you prefer better prices or coverage, you can opt for alternatives to pVZP, which previously held a monopoly. New Insurance Regulations The minimum coverage limit for comprehensive insurance is now set at 400,000 EUR (10,000,000 CZK), significantly higher than the previous limit. You can cancel your pVZP policy within three months of the change but will not receive a refund. A new registry for insurance contracts will be established, allowing easier verification of coverage by authorities and healthcare providers.

🚨 Important Update on Employing Foreigners in the Czech Republic 🚨 Today, we want to dive into another crucial change: the shortening of the “test of the Czech Labor Market” from 30 days to 0 days. What does this mean for you or your employer? 🔍 What is the test of the Czech Labour Market? Previously, if a Czech company wanted to hire someone from outside the EU using an employee card or a blue card, they had to advertise the position to the Czech Labour Office. The job had to be posted for 10 days (for highly qualified positions) or 30 days (for lower qualified positions) before proceeding, ensuring Czech and EU citizens had the first opportunity to apply. 📅 What’s changed as of July 1, 2024? Now, the position still needs to be advertised, but there is no longer a 10- or 30-day waiting period. This means that the employee card or blue card process can start immediately! 💡 What does this change mean? For new applicants applying from abroad, this may not drastically speed up the process, as obtaining all required documents often takes longer than 30 days. However, for those already in the Czech Republic looking to change employers, this could be a significant improvement in reducing waiting times. ⏳ Is this change permanent? The Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs notes that the test of the Labour Market could be reinstated if the unemployment rate rises, though no specific threshold has been mentioned. Stay informed by following all the latest updates on our website or by visiting zamestnavanicizincu.cz (in Czech only).
