🎓 At the age of 39, Štěpán Beneš decided to make a major career change, leaving the world of non-profit organizations and media to start a career in IT at Škoda Auto. But it wasn't overnight. First he headed to the educational institution 42 Prague, where he gained the necessary experience and competence in programming. 💬 "I learned programming, teamwork, and gained essential technical knowledge. But I always felt drawn to a more holistic perspective on IT. A Record-Breaking Year for Škoda Auto! 🚘📈 In 2024, we achieved highest-ever sales revenue and a 30% increase in operating profit, with net cash flow more than doubling to €2 billion. 💬 "We want students to choose us as the company where they complete their internship and, ideally, where they’ll want to work in the future," says Iryna Hradilová, who has been acting as a connecting link between the educational institution 42 Prague and Škoda Auto for more than a year. Today, Škoda auto offers 18 types of internships in IT, technical development, as well as production, logistics, quality and HR. 🎓 The non-profit educational institute 42 Prague differs from traditional universities in many ways. It aims to shape a new generation of IT talents and turn the Czech Republic into the technological heart of Europe. This is reflected in the style of teaching, which encourages the development of own ideas and teamwork in the form of "peer-to-peer learning", where students learn from each other. 💬 "At traditional universities, students are often pushed to memorize a specific theory, and the teacher evaluates their performance in a binary manner – either they’ve learned it the right way, or they haven’t.
