We welcomed Trenitalia, part of the Gruppo Ferrovie dello Stato Italiane, to our headquarters in Pilsen to see the production and progress of bogie production for their new Intercity night trains. Serial production is on track, and everything is moving forward as planned. This project is a part of a major contract to supply up to 370 night train coaches for Italy, awarded to us and our partner TITAGARH FIREMA S.P.A. in a competitive tender. These coaches will feature the latest technology, combined with Škoda’s expertise. Next up: the first serially assembled bogies have successfully completed testing and are ready to be shipped to Italy. Thanks to Trenitalia for the visit—we look forward to the next phase! #SkodaGroup #BogiesForItaly #SleeperTrains #SustainableTransport #RailwayTechnology #Trenitalia

Safety and reliability first: The power behind our battery trains Our LTO batteries are designed with safety as a top priority. They are fundamentally different from those used in electric cars—offering higher stability and eliminating the chance of thermal runaway. Their advanced cooling system maintains optimal temperature and automatically disconnects in case of an issue. ⚡ Fully recharges in under 30 minutes on both AC and DC 📍 80 km battery range – enough to cover entire regional routes without overhead lines A smart solution for non-electrified tracks without compromising efficiency.

North America offers great potential for Škoda Group’s technologies. Last week, we had the opportunity to present our advanced anti-collision system and modern electric components for LRVs and metro systems at the Transit State of Good Repair Conference in Washington, DC. With our solutions, we can help operators modernise their fleets and ensure efficient, reliable operation. Great to see strong interest in innovative, future-ready transport solutions. A big thank you to our colleagues for representing us! 🚆🔧
Škoda’s state-of-the-art anticollision system was presented to North American customers at the Transit State of Good Repair Conference in Washington, DC. We’re about to refresh the double-decker NIM Express trains we delivered to Deutsche Bahn Regio in Germany. Starting in Q3 2025, we’ll begin general overhauls on up to six units, which have already clocked nearly 1.5 million kilometres on the busy Nuremberg-Munich route. The work will take place at our Šumperk site, where the trains will undergo a wide range of technical updates and maintenance to maximise reliability. These overhauls will not only extend the life of the trains but also enhance sustainability, ensuring smooth and efficient operations for passengers. We expect the overhaul process to be completed by August 2028. #SkodaGroup #TrainOverhaul #Sustainability #NIMExpress
