𝗨𝗻𝗹𝗼𝗰𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗦𝘄𝗲𝗲𝘁 𝗦𝗲𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝘀 𝗼𝗳 𝗦𝘁𝗿𝗮𝘄𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗿𝗶𝗲𝘀! 🍓 Do you know what gives strawberries that irresistible, peachy aroma? It’s all thanks to the magic of γ-decalactone (γ-D) and the gene FaFAD1! In this application note, we explore the genomic characterization of FaFAD1 and its role in producing γ-D. Spoiler alert: This gene is the key to that delightful fruity scent! To crack the code, we used Analytik Jena’s UVP GelStudio PLUS imaging system. This powerhouse offers high-resolution, sensitive imaging of DNA and protein gels, making it a game-changer for our research.
