𝗡𝗲𝘅𝘁 𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗿𝘆-𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴? 𝗚𝗨𝗜𝗗𝗘 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁-𝘂𝗽 𝗦𝗰𝗵𝗼𝗼𝗹 𝗮𝘁 𝗕𝗥𝗬𝗖𝗞 Imagine the potential ideas that could reshape entire industries might be taking their first steps at this very moment - when academic ingenuity is channeled into real-world solutions. That’s the kind of potential we tapped into last week when BRYCK and GUIDE - Zentrum für Gründungen und Innopreneurship der Universität Duisburg-Essen from the University of Duisburg-Essen joined forces with the GUIDE Start-up School at BRYCK Tower. Over five days, twenty participants had the unique opportunity to dive into the world of entrepreneurship, turning their academic knowledge into actionable business ideas. 𝗙𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗮𝗰𝗮𝗱𝗲𝗺𝗶𝗰 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗰𝗵 𝘁𝗼 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹-𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗹𝗱 𝘀𝗼𝗹𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀 "Seeing how students and scientists use their academic background, a portion of curiosity and the courage to innovate and transform it into a business idea in 5 days - that’s what our Startup Factory is all about“, says Kevin Kessler, Project Manager Startup Factories. „Nurturing these ideas at an early stage with successful entrepreneurial role models bridges the gap between research and real-world needs. Together with the GUIDE team,  and other great mentors like Carolin Gattermann, Jules Banning, Alicia Reimer and Stephanie S. we have empowered participants to use their skills and expertise to create meaningful impact in the future." 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗥𝘂𝗵𝗿 The #StartupFactoryRuhr is a joint initiative by BRYCK, University of Duisburg-Essen, Ruhr University Bochum, and the TU Dortmund University to integrate academia, industry, and public sectors, providing a powerhouse environment where ideas can flourish into impactful deep-tech startups and drive industrial transformation. Together we form one of the 15 consortia selected to move within the current concept phase of the Leuchtturmwettbewerb - Startup Factories competition, launched by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Climate Action.
