Our Honors Program's second cohort has launched this semester🚀 Kicking things off, our participants explored "Responsible Leadership" with Boston Consulting Group (BCG)’s Dr. Philipp Jostarndt, gaining insights into impactful leadership. They then honed their storytelling skills in an interactive pitch workshop, wrapping up the day with lively connections at a networking dinner. Day two of their first field trip brought inspiration of a different kind—through the Samuel Beckett exhibition and an engaging workshop with actor and director Alex Mello. Beatriz Larouco Maciel Rodrigues is 25 years old, half Brazilian, half Portuguese and grew up in a small town near Rio de Janeiro. After she completed a bachelor’s program in Business Administration, she came to the University of Mannheim to pursue the Mannheim Master in Management (MMM) program. Alongside her studies, she works at UBS in Frankfurt in the field of asset management with a focus on sustainability. The new research project "EvaFin," funded by the German Federal Ministry of Education and Research, has officially started. The project „Evaluation von Finanzbildungsinterventionen über die Lebensspanne (EvaFin)“ was submitted by the University of Mannheim as a joint coordinator together with ZEW – Leibniz-Zentrum für Europäische Wirtschaftsforschung, the Eberhard Karls Universität Tübingen and University of Kaiserslautern (TU-KL). This collaborative project aims to explore how financial education interventions can effectively and sustainably foster financial literacy and its application in real-world financial behaviors.
