Bicycle commuting makes even more sense than we realized! 🤔 Going to work, university or school by bike holds the obvious benefits that cycling in general brings: It's better for physical and mental health as well as for the environment. But beyond that, it can save riders cold hard cash. In our recent PR study, we discovered just how much commuters can save in their region by opting to cycle instead of using other forms of transportation, and the findings are quite impressive. Jan Ullrich x buycycle: The grand finale. Earlier this summer, Jan Ullrich, former pro-cyclist and German Tour de France winner, auctioned off his original Team Telekom training bike from 1998 on buycycle. The Pinarello donations total 20.000 euros, and as requested by Jan, all proceeds went directly toward initiatives that encourage and train young cycling talent. Now in September, Jan was able to hand over the remarkable checks to his two chosen institutions: The Bikeparcour Bad Dürrheim and the RV Merdingen. Both are committed to supporting the next generation of cyclists and as Jan and we hope, the proceeds of the auction will help their endeavors significantly. Looking back on buycycle x Hänjay ☕ The last buycycle x Hänjay popup of the year took place over the weekend and we want to take this chance to celebrate a successful summer. All throughout our first high season in the US, the Hänjay Coffee pop-ups have proven to be a resourceful and rewarding brand activation in the Santa Monica mountains. The local café provided cyclists with free coffee, tea and signature homemade ‘lemonade’; mid-ride and it was beautiful to see the community connect and exchange as well as to get to know the Californian cycling scene up-close. Zero cars, hundreds of cups of coffee — our Stelvio Bike Day Recap ☕ It's a day marked in bold in many cyclists' calendars: The Stelvio Bike Day frees the most scenic alpine routes of all motorised traffic and leaves it to thousands of cyclists conquering the Stelvio Pass. This year, we were able to join the event on-site and our team provided the riders with a little caffeine push for the final elevation meters. To keep it short & sweet: We had a blast! buycycle's first press day — Grazie a Wired Italia, Ciclismo and Tech-Cycling! Two weeks ago, our talented PR team managed to secure yet another milestone for the company by hosting our first ever press day. A group of journalists, from Wired Italia, Ciclismo and Tech-Cycling, all renowned magazine focusing on innovation, technology and the cycling culture, travelled to Munich to gain a first-hand impression of our services. And not to spoiler anything… they seem to have been convinced!
