⭐⭐️⭐ 𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐆𝐥𝐨𝐛𝐚𝐥 𝐃𝐚𝐭𝐚 𝐒𝐩𝐚𝐜𝐞𝐬 𝐑𝐨𝐮𝐧𝐝𝐭𝐚𝐛𝐥𝐞, 𝐁𝐞𝐢𝐣𝐢𝐧𝐠, 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐚 ⭐⭐⭐ 🎯 What a great gathering on #TrustedDataSharing and #dataspaces at the Global Data Technology Conference GDTC in Beijing, China! It was a great honour to host the ‘Global Data Spaces Roundtable’ in behalf of International Data Spaces Association (IDSA), which took place on 30 October 2024 at the Kempinski Hotel Yansha Center Beijing. The event was organised together with 𝐇𝐔𝐀𝐖𝐄𝐈 and 𝐂𝐡𝐢𝐧𝐚 𝐅𝐮𝐭𝐮𝐫𝐞 𝐄𝐧𝐠𝐢𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐫𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐂𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐂𝐅𝐈𝐄𝐂. 💡 Important insights and alignments on latest achievements on data spaces, open source projects, the Dataspace Protocol, international standardisation, and many interesting use cases from China and Europe. ⭐️ Great contributions from Reinhold E. Achatz, Lars Nagel, Liang Chen, Boris Otto, Liu Dong, Gan Bin, Peter Koen, Joseba Laka, Sven Löffler, Markus Spiekermann, Yun Ma, Haiqin Xie, among others. 🤝 Important background and alignment talks with Yu Xiaohui, Aldous Ng, Atul Athavale, Götz-Philip Brasche, Joshua Gelhaar, WEN YANG, Xiaolong Dr. Ma, Stella (Xu) Guo, among others. In den Gremien der Open Logistics Foundation gibt es eine personelle Neubesetzung: Michael Henke, geschäftsführender Institutsleiter am Fraunhofer IML, wurde zum neuen Kurator berufen. Er übernimmt die Position von Michael ten Hompel, der sein Amt wegen Ruhestand niederlegt. Henke unterstützt künftig Markus Bangen (duisport - Duisburger Hafen AG) und Jakub Piotrowski (BLG LOGISTICS GROUP AG & Co. KG), die ebenfalls im Kuratorium tätig sind. Zuvor war Henke Vorstandsvorsitzender des Open Logistics e. V. Im Zuge der Neubesetzung wird auch Alice Kirchheim, Institutsleiterin des Fraunhofer IML, neues Mitglied im Vereinsvorstand. Michael Henke, Managing Director of Fraunhofer IML, has been appointed to the Board of Trustees of the Open Logistics Foundation, succeeding Michael ten Hompel. Additionally, Prof. Dr.-Ing. Alice Kirchheim, Director of Fraunhofer IML, has been named a new member of the Foundation’s Support Association's Board of Directors (Open Logistics e. V.).   🗨️ “As Spokesman of the Board, it was a special honour for me to support the Association during its development and growth phase,” summarises Henke. “I am now delighted to succeed Michael ten Hompel on the Board of Trustees and to contribute to the positive development of the Open Logistics Foundation from there. In recent years, the Foundation has already made significant progress in the area of de-facto standardisation, as the example of the digital consignment note, eCMR, shows.”   🗨️ “The Open Logistics Foundation and open source solutions in general offer significant added value for everyone involved in logistics,” explains Kirchheim. “As the software components can be used free of charge, this not only creates synergy effects, but the collective work on the source code also makes it more robust. Das Open Source Meetup in Dortmund war ein voller Erfolg 🎉 Zusammen mit der Open Logistics Foundation und dem Digital Hub Logistics Dortmund konnten wir auf dem OS Meetup in Dortmund spannende Einblicke in innovative Open-Source-Lösungen der Stiftung Open Logistics Foundation geben, die die Logistikbranche revolutionieren. 💡 Wir sind stolz darauf, als einer der Haupttreiber der Arbeitsgruppe innerhalb der Stiftung mitzuwirken. Jörg Holleck, Experte für Software Development bei der Rhenus, präsentierte die Open-Source-Lösung „eCMR“ und zeigte eindrucksvoll, wie unternehmensübergreifende Open-Source-Lösungen entstehen. 💡 The Startup Germany Summit 2024 was a meaningful event full of great moments. And we are happy that our CEO Maria Beck represented our initiative Digital Hub Logistics Dortmund and Digital Hub Management! ‘The best thing we have are spaces where we talk to each other. That's where new beginnings arise. That's where community comes from.’ - With these words, Federal Minister of Economics Dr Robert Habeck opened the summit and he did not promise too much. Dr Anna Christmann, Member of the German Bundestag and Commissioner for the Digital Economy and Start-ups, reported on the 2nd progress report of the start-up strategy. Over 80% of the measures have already been successfully implemented! A major step towards facilitating start-ups, reducing bureaucracy and making the German start-up ecosystem even more diverse. The signing of the WIN initiative (Growth and Innovation Capital for Germany) with Federal Chancellor Olaf Scholz, Finance Minister Christian Lindner, Dr Robert Habeck, Verena Pausder (Startup Association), KfW and other representatives also marks an important step: it strengthens the financing options for young companies and promotes cooperation between startups and established companies. ⭐ 𝐃𝐈𝐇𝐍𝐄𝐓.𝐄𝐔 𝐚𝐜𝐚𝐝𝐞𝐦𝐲 ⭐ Excellent exchange on setting up and operating a Digital Innovation Hub #DIH at TNOVektor in The Hague! We discussed, simulated, conceptualised and also had fun. This time the focus of this DIHNET.EU academy gathering was on the DIH eSavo, South-Est Finland 🇫🇮, and its work on #digitaltransformation of #sme represented by Sami Jantunen, Helena Merikoski, Maisa Kantanen, Marianne Heikkinen and Kaisa Voutila 🚀.
