On Monday, we had the honor of joining the christening ceremony of the MV Elbinsel, the latest newbuilding from Elbdeich Reederei. Today, we proudly welcome Elbinsel, adding an eco-friendly vessel with a 1,400 TEU capacity to our European fleet. This vessel excels in fuel efficiency, ice-class capabilities, as well as an optimized intake for 45ft containers.   We would like to extend our sincere gratitude to the godmother Isabell. And again, a big thank you to Elbdeich for the trusted relationship. Together, we have navigated through rough weather and calm seas. On Monday, we proudly christened the MV "Elbinsel" in our home region of Kehdingen at the port of Bützfleth - close to our office - making the event even more special. With a capacity of 1,380 TEU, this eco-friendly ship will soon begin service for our partner Unifeeder, who were present at the ceremony and will charter the ship for several years. We are grateful for their continued trust and collaboration. A heartfelt thank you to our wonderful godmother, Isabell F., for blessing the ship. In a beautiful coincidence—and perhaps a good omen—our ships Elbsprinter, Elbwater, and Elbsky passed by on the Elbe during the christening. Welcome MV „ELBDEICH“! With beautiful sunshine we celebrated the christening of our latest newbuilding MV „ELBDEICH“ in Moerdijk. Being the first vessel in a series of six 1.380 TEU vessels marks a truly special event. She will now start her regular service for TAILWIND Shipping Lines as MV „PANDA 003“ between Moerdijk and Barcelona. Thank you to the godmother Yvonne Mülder and the whole team who worked tirelessly until completion of this project. We wish the vessel and her crew fair winds and following seas.
