Yesterday, #ifip #EGOV24 came to an end—a week filled with amazing people, exciting research presentations, and brilliant social activities. Among many great moments, a couple of highlights stood out: 🎓 On Monday, the Junior Faculty School kicked off, providing an opportunity for early-stage researchers to gain insights and connect before the official conference began. Special thanks to Ida Lindgren, Gabriela Viale Pereira and J. Ramon Gil-Garcia for initiating this! 🫂 It was nice to reconnect with old friends and meet new faces. Beyond the social events, the conference offered numerous opportunities to spark future collaborations 👀. Vera Spitzer Maria Wimmer 🥇Lastly, I’m still thrilled to have received the Best Paper Award in the category of "Most Innovative Research Contribution" for our paper. Dr. Bettina Distel, Marco Di Maria, Paul Brützke, Prof. Dr. Dr. h.c. Jörg Becker and I explored the concept of Unlearning Obsolete Competences to drive digital transformation in the public sector. Dear ISCRAMers,   It's hard to believe that three months have passed since the ISCRAM 2024 World Conference in Münster (https://lnkd.in/eGGCnk2x). As we put the finishing touches on the full proceedings, we're flooded with wonderful memories that continue to brighten our days. Hosting this conference was a true honor for us, and before we officially pass the baton to the next hosts at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Canada, I would like to take a moment—on behalf of my conference co-chairs Dr. Monika Rode, Berthold Penkert, and Bernd Hellingrath—to express our heartfelt thanks to some key supporters.   The entire event would not have been possible without the commitment and support from the Institut Der Feuerwehr NRW, the Universität Münster, ERCIS, and Stadt Münster. Special thanks go to Minister Herbert Reul, the Rector of the University of Münster, Johannes Wessels, and the Mayor of Münster, Markus Lewe, for their opening speeches.   Many thanks to the ISCRAM Association board, especially Rob Grace, for always providing guidance and support, regardless of how small or complex our queries were. The ISCRAM community is fortunate to have you! Every conference rests on the shoulders of its program chairs. We were blessed to have Kees Boersma, Dr. Michael Middelhoff, and Matthias Kalthöner undertake this significant and challenging role. Our gratitude extends to all our track chairs, reviewers, authors, and participants for their efforts in making this event a success. Special thanks to Anirudh Ravi for guiding and ensuring a smooth publication process as proceedings chair.   We also acknowledge the exceptional efforts of the doctoral colloquium chairs, Melanie Reuter-Oppermann, Stefan Klein, and Mark Haselkorn, workshop chairs, Christoph Lamers, Johannes Ponge, and Jaziar R., demo and poster chairs, Sandra Wissing, Dr. Monika Rode, and Apoorva Chauhan, PhD, and the leaders of the research project symposium, Chiara Fonio and Alexander Rösner, Dr.. In line with the conference’s pracademic approach, we were thrilled to introduce the practitioner talk session, chaired by Nicola Rupp, Bart van Leeuwen, and Christoph Lamers. Our profound gratitude goes to our keynote speakers for their timely, visionary, and inspiring talks—thank you, Jon Hall, Mark Haselkorn, Tiina Ristmäe, and Julie Dugdale!   I fondly recall our celebration upon reaching our 200th follower on the ISCRAM 2024 conference page. This milestone would not have been achieved without the amazing work of Stéphanie Albiéro and Sebastian Henke, our publicity and communication chairs, who made the dissemination efforts remarkably successful. And now, with over 470 followers, we’ve surpassed our expectations—merci bien! With these words, I am delighted to hand over the ISCRAM 2024 LinkedIn page to Ron Pelot, Aaron MacNeil, and Sophie Marchant. I look forward to seeing you all next May in Halifax. Yesterday, we marked a major milestone with our first board delegation visit to #Liechtenstein, and we’re thrilled to announce the appointment of Hans Märtson as our first representative and advisor to Board in Liechtenstein! Hans is a Founding Member of ECCS and currently serves as Head of CX Impact and Business Process Excellence at Hilti Group, where he has built an impressive career for 29 years. During the visit, our board gained valuable insights into Liechtenstein's business landscape, covering topics like production, customer satisfaction, strategy, and sustainability. We also explored opportunities in tourism and had the privilege of visiting University of Liechtenstein (Universität Liechtenstein). We are excited to be co-organizing and supporting the 6th Multidisciplinary International Symposium on Disinformation in Open Online Media, alongside the Department of Communication at Universität Münster. The #MISDOOM conference will take place from September 2nd to 4th, 2024. in beautiful Münster. The interdisciplinary conference not only combines perspectives from communication and computer science, but also offers practitioners from the fields such as journalism and fact-checking, as well as experts from the private sector a platform for networking.
