🌍📽️ Watch the Recording of the EUKI Academy Web Seminar on Social Climate Plans in CEE As the deadline for EU member states to submit their 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻𝘀 (𝗦𝗖𝗣𝘀) approaches, ensuring a fair and effective transition under the 𝗦𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗲 𝗙𝘂𝗻𝗱 (𝗦𝗖𝗙) is more important than ever. 💨 Wind Energy & Biodiversity: A Path to Responsible Growth 🌿 How can we ensure that wind energy development goes hand in hand with biodiversity protection? The 𝗟𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝘁 𝗥𝗲𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁 from EUKI project #Wind4Bio provides key insights from workshops held in Greece, Latvia, and Poland. There, industry leaders, civil society, and policymakers came together to tackle this challenge. 🌱⚡ A major takeaway? Sustainable wind energy requires early and continuous biodiversity integration - from planning to decommissioning. The report also underscores the importance of the 𝗖𝗼𝗱𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁 developed by the project as a tool for responsible corporate behavior, promoting ethical development of wind energy. 🚧 Circular Construction: The Future of Sustainable Building 🌍 The 𝗕𝘂𝗶𝗹𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗶𝗿𝗰𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗲𝗻𝗰𝗲, hosted by Instytut Innowacji i Odpowiedzialnego Rozwoju INNOWO and EUKI Project #CirCon4Climate, took place on February 18-19, 2025, in Warsaw. The event proved that circular construction is not just a vision - it’s happening now! With nearly 250 attendees, experts discussed how to scale sustainable building practices through policy, design, and innovation. 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗧𝗮𝗸𝗲𝗮𝘄𝗮𝘆𝘀: ♻️ Circular design saves costs and reduces emissions – Thoughtful planning at the early stages of a project can significantly cut environmental impact and financial expenditure. Experts from Skanska CEE, UCEEB, and WSP emphasised that the highest costs are often embedded in inefficient design and material choices. 📦Flexible procurement accelerates sustainability – Traditional procurement models can hinder circular solutions. Representatives from Colliers, the Ministry of Development and Technology, and others highlighted how adaptive procurement strategies allow for more sustainable materials and construction methods to be integrated into projects. 🧱Innovative materials are transforming the industry – The development of low-carbon and reusable materials is making circular construction more accessible. Solutions presented by ITB, ZAG, Concular, and INCIEN demonstrated how materials like recycled concrete and modular components can enhance both sustainability and design quality. The event, moderated by Ron van Bloois and Agnieszka Sznyk PhD, provided practical tools for investors, architects, and builders. 📢 The key challenge now is how effectively we can integrate these solutions into mainstream industry practices.
