On July 2, 2024, we had the opportunity to visit Rolls-Royce in Dahlewitz, near Berlin. We began our tour by exploring the manufacturing of Pearl and BR700 class jet engines, followed by observing their validation in a test chamber. After lunch, we visited the development test stand for civil large engines, built in 2014, where the largest and most powerful engines of the Trent family are tested. Our tour concluded with a visit to the MRO and validation area, including the new development and testing center for the world's most powerful aviation gearbox, which opened in 2017. Highlights of the visit included a bird strike cannon, the gearbox, and the composite fan blades of the new UltraFan engine. We are grateful for the comprehensive and detailed tour and look forward to returning in the future. Thank you to Uwe Hessler and Susanne Riebe, who organized this tour for us, as well as everyone who took the time to show us their work. We want to extend special thanks to Raquel Barrera, Angélique P., and Stephanie Skupin, who met us for lunch to share their journeys and experiences as women in leading engineering positions, and the value of female networks in male-dominated spaces.

From June 18th to 20th, EUROAVIA Dresden had the opportunity to visit the Bundeswehr site in Wunstorf near Hanover. We were hosted by Lufttransportgeschwader 62 and had the privilege to tour an A400M aircraft with the Loadmaster and the pilot. Additionally, we visited the A400M flight simulators. The day concluded with a tour of Airbus Defence and Space in Wunstorf, where we were introduced to the activities and career opportunities at the location. Members from EUROAVIA Aachen, EUROAVIA Braunschweig "Ludwig Prandtl" e.V., EUROAVIA München and EUROAVIA Bremen also joined us. We had a wonderful day and are grateful for the opportunity. Special thanks go to our alumni Sascha Koppmann and Jasmin Schlegel for making this trip possible.

We are thrilled to share that our participation in ILA 2024 in Berlin was a tremendous success! We set a new local record with 64 tickets sold. A heartfelt thank you to MTU Aero Engines for the fascinating tour and to Deutsches Zentrum für Luft-und Raumfahrt e.V. for sponsoring the tickets. For the first time, EUROAVIA had its own exhibition stand, and we thank ILA Berlin - Pioneering Aerospace for this incredible opportunity. Our booth in Hall 3 sparked engaging and insightful conversations. We were also honored to present EUROAVIA at the ILA Stage Aviation Future Lab. Special thanks to Katalin Friederike Eleonora Sachse, Clemens Martin Fleischer, Karl Wilhelm Funke, and Leo Buchner for their insightful presentations. The flight displays and the entire exhibition was truly impressive. We look forward to ILA 2026!

From May 31st to June 2nd, 2024, this year's meeting of the German EUROAVIA local groups took place in Dresden. Participating were EUROAVIA Bremen, EUROAVIA Aachen, EUROAVIA München, and EUROAVIA Stuttgart Studenteninitiative e.V. The main focus was the Livery Design Challenge, where the livery of an Airbus A330 was to be designed in the style of each city. The program also included a city rally and interesting lectures at TU Dresden. We thank all participants and congratulate EUROAVIA München on winning the challenge and we are pleased to announce that the 2025 Germany meeting will be hosted by Munich. Thanks also to all the members who supported us with the organization. A special thanks to Zohreh Fakhr, Fatemeh Kako, and Henrik Neun for creating our livery design and to Katalin Friederike Eleonora Sachse and Robin Tom Großmann for organizing the event. We look forward to meeting all of you again next year in Munich!

It was such a pleasure and a great experience being part of the group of Editors of the EUROAVIA History Book! Digging around EUROAVIA's history and then writing some fragments in this book has taught me how through cooperation, passion and enthusiasm, an association such as ours can overcome difficult times and achieve great things. Let's remember, history continues to be written so... See you around Europe!
