Together with the Universität Innsbruck, they have developed the most efficient implementation of the Quantum Fourier Transform (QFT) on a linear chain of qubits. ⚛️✨ This novel approach, as detailed in the paper "SWAP-less Implementation of Quantum Algorithms", eliminates the need for SWAP or Shuttling operations—revolutionizing how we approach the QFT, one of the most fundamental algorithms in quantum computing. The session, organised by MEP Mika Aaltola, brought together key players in the #quantum industry, including valued QuIC members Bluefors, IQM Quantum Computers, CSC - IT Center for Science and VTT, to discuss the industrialisation of quantum technology in Europe. A major focus of the session was how European policies can support the growth of quantum businesses, ensuring Europe remains competitive in this rapidly evolving field. In his keynote, Thierry Botter showcased Europe’s vast potential and highlighted the region's assets to champion the world’s future quantum economy.
