Every anniversary also includes gifts. That´s why we came up with something for our 50th anniversary. With a polo shirt in an anniversary edition, we want to make our employees happy and thank them for the past years. Last week the time had finally come: the polo shirts arrived and were distributed with great anticipation. The shirt not only stands for our joint commitment, but also for the appreciation of each individual in our team.

Our colleague Cheng Chen is the FFT contact person for #tax and #transferpricing. 🙋♂️ Before Cheng joined us, he worked in auditing for six years and decided to move into industry two years ago. At #FFT, he can put his previous experience in accounting and tax in an international context to good use in the current day-to-day business. 📊 📈 Cheng is particularly proud that he can now lead internal tax-related projects with the support and cooperation of his FFT colleagues. For him, the best thing about his job is the interesting specialist topics and the dynamic exchange with internal and external contacts. Cheng also appreciates the professional development and the fact that you never get the feeling of boredom at FFT. 😊

The FFTweldtec Mobile TipChanger (MTC) enables the automatic and time-optimised changing of electrode tips on stationary welding guns. The combination of compact design and low weight for mounting directly on the robot or integrated and mounted on an existing gripper guarantees minimum space requirements. The FFTweldtec MTC can be integrated and put into operation in a very short time thanks to the simple programming and filling of the magazine via quick-change cap rails and subsequently optimises the welding process considerably.

In 2012, FFT USA was founded in Greer, Spartanburg in South Carolina, to serve US customers with independent projects, starting from engineering and design, until implementation and commissioning. Additionally, FFT China opened in Shanghai with the same goal and FFT also acquired the BBZ Mitte training center in Fulda.

After the induction day, our new trainees and dual students had another event on the agenda last week to get to know each other. 🙋♂️   Together with our training department and students from higher semesters, our new team members hiked to Körbelshütte. One of our managing directors came along for a meal with the young people. Afterwards, a small competition was held in nine different games, with the focus on teamwork and interaction, because at FFT we are convinced that you can only achieve something together. 🤝 🙂 After the award ceremony, there was a final round of discussions in which lots of questions and tips were exchanged. We had a lot of fun with the great group and would like to thank you for the relaxed afternoon together and your great, active participation! 💪 #Onboarding #Teambuilding #FFT 

This bus has been on the road in and around Fulda since the beginning of June. As part of our anniversary celebrations this year, we thought about having a bus wrapped with our anniversary logo. Many thanks to our colleagues Paula and Moritz for agreeing to be part of this campaign.

We have been located in Greer, South Carolina (USA) for 13 years, and since March 2013, this location has been our primary U.S. location. Greer is our operational headquarters for all of FFT´s plant construction business in the USA. The focus here is on project planning and coordination sites in the USA. The projects are spread all over the country. Whether it is a supplier from Union (SC), a major project for a new OEM in Austin (TX), or other projects in Normal (IL) or Rochester (NY), everything is managed from Greer. What makes the site special is the cross-cultural team. The nearly 54 employees come not only from the USA, but also from Mexiko, South Africa, Germany, Brazil, Spain, Honduras, Austria and Italy. The environmental conditions, on the other hand, are challenging: The average temperature from May to October is 30°C and the humidity is high. The office is also located directly between the BMW Performance Center race track and the local Greenville Spartanburg Airport (GSP). This means that during lunch breaks, you can hear screeching tires in your right ear and planes flying by in your left.

The FFThemtec Roller Cleaner enables the automatic cleaning of hemming rolls without interrupting the ongoing automatic process. 💡Facts: In the roll hemming process, an adhesive is used to protect against corrosion and to stiffen the components. To ensure that all cavities are filled with the adhesive, a little more than necessary is usually used. This can cause the hemming roller to become dirty when the adhesive comes out at the end of the folding connection. Cleaning the hemming rollers results in increased hemming quality. In addition, no production stop is necessary due to the automatic process.
