Track vs Tunnel? Q36.5 Pro Cycling’s TT Specialist Joey Rosskopf explains his preference during an Aero Fitting session with gebioMized at Omnisport Apeldoorn Velodrome. Welcome to Part III of our Aero Fitting session with gebioMized and Q36.5 Pro Cycling Team on the Omnisport Apeldoorn Velodrome. We already talked to the teams Sports Director Aart Vierhouten and Pro Rider Joey Rosskopf. Now we want to change the perspective and get some insights from bike fitter and aero specialist Jonas Kraienhorst. He states: “I love doing a pre fitting in order to validate or change position on the track.” Meaning that first we set up the position from a biomechanical point of view in the fitting studio. Especially focusing on the perfect position of the saddle, so the rider doesn’t experience any problems or soreness, while sitting in a stable position. “Then we do the sessions on the track to see how aerodynamic we could go with the cockpit”, he says. Always monitoring the changes with our saddle pressure mapping to check if we are still stable when building up an aggressive aerodynamic position. Stay tuned!
