Leadership, passion and balance: a portrait of Jettainer CEO Dr. Jan-Wilhelm Breithaupt   For our CEO, Dr. Jan-Wilhelm Breithaupt, aviation is more than just a job – it is part of his DNA. Growing up in a household where both his parents worked for Pan Am and a father who managed cargo handling at Hanover Airport, his fascination for aviation was awakened at an early age.   Today, as CEO of Jettainer, he manages the fortunes of our company with passion, experience and a clear, focusing on digitalization, lean processes and teamwork.   💡 “The flat hierarchies and quick decision-making at Jettainer are refreshing,” he says about joining Jettainer.   But how does he manage the balancing act between a dynamic career and personal balance? Through trust in his team, sport and involvement in the Lions Club. “You also have to be able to switch off in order to remain productive in the long term,” says Dr. Breithaupt.   🌍 Favorite destination? Not an easy task to choose. However, Hong Kong holds a special place – a city that fascinates him with its authenticity and dynamism.   His message to the younger generation: “The air cargo industry is global, dynamic, and incredibly rewarding. Last week we attended The International Air Cargo Association TIACA's Air Cargo Forum, which brought together the global air cargo industry in Miami. 🌟 One of the highlights was an interview our Managing Director Americas Shailendra Kothari had with Air Cargo Week Editor Edward Hardy, which appeared in the daily editions during the show. In the article Shailendra Kothari emphasizes the growing importance of innovative and efficient ULD solutions – especially in light of the rapid growth of e-commerce, pharmaceuticals and perishable goods.
