🚀 Expanding Training Capabilities in Zurich and Vienna! 🌍   This week marks a significant milestone for Lufthansa Aviation Training as we celebrate the inauguration of two cutting-edge full flight simulators:   ✈️ Airbus A350 Simulator in Zurich On January 29, we officially opened a new Airbus A350 Full Flight Simulator at our training center in Opfikon, Switzerland, along with the latest cabin training devices. The CAE 7000XR simulator meets the highest certification standards (Level-D), offering hyper-realistic training for all flight conditions. This significant investment strengthens pilot and crew training for SWISS, Edelweiss, and Lufthansa while contributing to the future of aviation in Switzerland.   Swiss International Air Lines and Edelweiss are integrating the A350 into their fleets, with 16 state-of-the-art, CO2-efficient A350-900 aircraft replacing older A340-300s. The new simulator plays a vital role in supporting this transition and ensuring world-class training for our partners. The customers also had the opportunity to get to know the latest SST technology used in the A350 training, such as the virtual reality trainer.   ✈️ Dreamliner 787-9 Simulator in Vienna On January 30, we proudly introduced the first long-haul simulator at our Vienna training center. The CAE 7000XR Full Flight Simulator enhances pilot training for Austrian Airlines, optimizes crew scheduling, and is also available to external customers and airlines.   This expansion marks a key milestone for Austrian Airlines as they elevate their training capabilities with state-of-the-art technology. At a special inauguration event, LAT Managing Director Matthias Spohr and Austrian Airlines COO Francesco Sciortino, alongside distinguished guests, celebrated the launch of this advanced simulator, symbolizing the continued growth of training excellence in Austria.   With these advancements, we continue to empower our airline partners and external customers with innovative training solutions, ensuring top-notch training at their home bases. A Night to Remember – LAT New Year’s Celebration 2025 🎉✨ Last friday, around 300 LAT employees gathered in our impressive Emergency Hall at the Frankfurt location to celebrate the start of 2025 together. Instead of a traditional Christmas party, this New Year’s Celebration brought a fresh and vibrant energy to the year ahead, with employees from all locations coming together for an unforgettable evening. The event featured a warm welcome speech and a recap video highlighting the key moments of 2024. A true standout of the night was the electrifying performance by our talented colleague Maxima Love, who energized the hall with an unforgettable show. A DJ kept the dance floor lively, while the Karaoke Bar and photo booth added extra fun and plenty of laughter. 🎤🎶 With delicious food, a unique atmosphere, and the strong sense of community that defines LAT, the celebration was the perfect way to kick off an exciting and successful year ahead. Our goals: - Enhance image quality, efficiency, and reliability for our clients. - Reduce obsolescence and maintenance needs, maximizing simulator availability and fidelity. What's happening? - Comprehensive upgrades: From projector replacements to advanced image generators, we’re making modifications on a scale we’ve never done before. - New tech from leading providers like CAE and Collins Aerospace for better visuals and training accuracy. - Improved illumination, shadowing, and physics-based rendering for a more immersive experience. - Realistic surface details, automated airport scenes, and enhanced marshalling visuals.
