Time flies: It has already been a year since we celebrated full commercial operation at our 750MW Swedish onshore wind project, Önusberget Wind Farm, together with our project partners, political stakeholders and local residents. We are pleased to announce, that Luxcara has signed a contract with the Norwegian offshore wind transport and installation service company Havfram for one of the world’s most advanced Wind Turbine Installation Vessels (WTIV) to transport and install 16 of the most powerful turbines at the offshore wind project Waterkant in the German North Sea. We are pleased to announce, that the Hamburg Green Hydrogen Hub project company has commissioned Siemens Energy to supply and install the electrolyzer for the HGHH project. The company will supply six units of its latest electrolyzer model, which together form the 100 MW electrolyzer. In addition to supplying the electrolyzer units, HGHH and Siemens Energy are entering into a long-term partnership with a ten-year maintenance contract. Holger Matthiesen, Project Director at Luxcara and Managing Director of HGHH: “With Siemens Energy, we have gained one of the most experienced suppliers of electrolyzers for the production of green hydrogen. Thanks to the selected PEM technology, the proximity to Siemens Energy's Berlin Gigafactory and a dense service network, the HGHH project benefits from high efficiency and availability.” The HGHH consortium consists of Hamburger Energiewerke GmbH and Luxcara. Federal Minister for Economic Affairs and Climate Protection, Robert Habeck, visited the location of our green hydrogen project in Hamburg-Moorburg yesterday to see firsthand how the hydrogen infrastructure is progressing. “With the dismantling of the old coal-fired power plant and the establishment of a hydrogen economy, the Moorburg site will become a central point for the decarbonization of industry and the energy sector in Hamburg and Germany,” said Robert Habeck during his visit to Moorburg yesterday. In July, the Federal Minister presented our Managing Partner Alexandra Bernstorff and Christian Heine, Managing Director of Hamburger Energiewerke GmbH, with the funding decision for our joint green hydrogen project Hamburg Green Hydrogen Hub (HGHH). Yesterday, Habeck joined Hamburg's Senator for Economics and Innovation Melanie Leonhard and Senator for Environment, Climate, Energy, and Agriculture Jens Kerstan to see the progress in Moorburg firsthand and to hand over the funding notice.   Habeck also rolled up his sleeves: the Federal Minister symbolically installed a hydrogen pipeline connecting our HGHH project and Gasnetz Hamburg GmbH's hydrogen industrial network project (HH-WIN). We are proud to announce, that our bidding entity Waterekke Energy GmbH has won the right to build a 1.5 GW offshore wind farm in the German North Sea in the latest German offshore wind auction based primarily on qualitative criteria. Luxcara, who will serve as the asset manager for the project, has thus once again successfully participated in an auction of this nature. We are pleased to announce, that the Federal Economics Minister Robert Habeck presented the funding decisions in Berlin today for two significant hydrogen projects in Hamburg: Luxcara and our project partner Hamburger Energiewerke GmbH will receive funding for the Hamburg Green Hydrogen Hub (HGHH) project. Together, we are building a 100 MW electrolyzer for green hydrogen on the site of the former Moorburg coal-fired power plant. Gasnetz Hamburg, the municipal network operator, is receiving funding for the construction of the first 40 kilometers of the HH-WIN hydrogen distribution network.
