Marquardt is expanding its presence in the Indian market: Today we officially opened a new production plant in Talegaon near Pune. 🇮🇳 In future, we will manufacture inter alia drive authorization systems, gear selector switches and battery management systems for electric vehicles at the ultra-modern plant. “India is an important growth market for Marquardt with great potential”, says Björn Twiehaus, our CEO. ”We work closely with leading vehicle manufacturers here and utilize the innovative strength and expertise of our Indian team. A Legacy of Strength and a New Chapter for Marquardt At the turn of the year 2025, Dr. Harald Marquardt will hand over the leadership of our company to his successor, Björn Twiehaus, after nearly three decades as CEO. Under Dr. Marquardt’s leadership, Marquardt has grown from a mid-sized company into a globally leading mechatronics expert. His impressive achievements: • Revenue increased nearly twelvefold • Workforce quintupled worldwide • Production network expanded by 13 facilities 💬 “Your optimism has been, and will continue to be, an inspiration for all of us,” emphasized Björn Twiehaus during our festive year-end celebration. Appreciation for a challenging year: our Board members invited the employees at our headquarters in Rietheim-Weilheim to a Christmas gathering. Together with the managers, they grilled sausages, served punch, mulled wine and thanked all employees for their hard work in 2024.
