Enabling Massive Integration of PV into Buildings and Infrastructure.

Info

Enabling Massive Integration of PV into Buildings and Infrastructure. Meeting European climate targets demands a dramatic surge in renewable energy adoption. Although photovoltaic (PV) systems costs have decreased, integrated photovoltaic (IPV) remains a niche market due to persistent barriers. The EU-funded MASS-IPV project brings together key players from the construction and PV sectors to demonstrate how innovative tools and technologies can pave the way for the mass deployment of cost-effective IPV systems in buildings and infrastructure. The MASS-IPV project serves as a scaled representation of the IPV market landscape in Europe. The consortium comprises a diverse range of enterprises, from manufacturers and system providers to planning offices and software developers. Together, they address various challenges in the industry such as financial, regulatory, societal, environmental and technical issues. The project aims to guide EU companies in expanding their business in PV-related technologies and services. MASS-IPV has received funding from the European Union’s Horizon Europe programme under grant agreement 101135299.
