    CONNECT X MCM Virtual Design Competition MCM is always looking for new ways to harness technology’s power to create a greener fashion industry, and using virtual samples is one way we enhance design efficiency. Now we’ve joined forces with CLO Virtual Fashion's digital fashion platform CONNECT for the “Future Heritage: From Munich to Mars” design contest. Participants must create a virtual total look including one MCM outfit and multiple MCM bags from any moment in the brand’s history, from vintage classics to the latest releases. Creative use of AI in all its forms is highly encouraged, from avatars and graphics to other design elements. We’re looking for genderless, forward-looking fashion for the digital nomad of tomorrow. The winner will receive 3,000 USD from the Korean Fashion Industry Association and a social media highlight. Other prizes are available up to 4th place, and other notable submissions will be posted on social media.     Pet Therapy Bangkok Last Friday, we held a Pet Therapy event at the MCM Boutique in the EmQuartier Mall in Bangkok. Shoppers were able to purchase their favorite bags with a twist: a one-of-a-kind pet portrait painted directly onto the leather live in the store. Yoghurt Nattasha was among those to receive one of these unique – and super cute! – MCM items.

    MCM: Employer recognition MCM’s Hong Kong office is happy to be named a Caring Company by The Hong Kong Council of Social Service for the fifth consecutive year and a Happy Company by The Happiness Index Foundation for the fourth consecutive year.     On September 20th, in Milan’s iconic Piazza del Duomo, the MCM SS25 collection “Under The Sea” launched with a bang with the Dancing Duomo flashmob, a celebration of K-pop culture with performances by Gotoe, Sean, Harry-June, and SUI. Continuing AW24’s journey “From Munich to Mars”, this season seeks inspiration deep in the underwater world. The collection is deliberately seasonless, a way for the brand to encourage consumers to reduce their consumption by investing in versatile classics to style creatively year-round in line with MCM’s SMART Luxury ethos: Seasonless, Made for movement, Ageless, Responsible and Transformative.

    As part of MCM’s efforts to encourage volunteering and promote wellness and a sense of community among company staff, a number of employees from the Swiss office took place in WWF’s 2024 charity run. MCM made a donation for each kilometer run on the circuit while encouraging participants to find sponsors and increase the funds raised for the charity. The proceeds from this year’s event will help WWF to clean up sea pollution and protect the planet’s oceans.

    MCM x STF: Upcycled Couture MCM is proud to celebrate the creativity and innovation of fashion’s next generation through a project that aligns perfectly with MCM’s commitment to fostering local talent, sustainability, and the future of fashion. Back in February, students from the Swiss Textile Fashion School embarked on a six-month journey to craft visionary designs that embody MCM’s values and brand ethos using deadstock material. On Thursday, September 12th, MCM proudly welcomed the STF back to their Zurich store to unveil 11 distinct looks created as part of the project: a stunning mix of ready-to-wear pieces, accessories, and one-of-a-kind creations.

    MCM Spring/Summer 25 Launch   During Milan Fashion Week, MCM launched its latest collection in the heart of the capital with a press presentation at Terrazza Duomo 21. Entitled “Under The Sea”, the collection puts an underwater twist on iconic MCM motifs and shapes, drawing inspiration from every element of the marine world, from shoreside beach clubs to its unexplored depths.  The event was a great opportunity to showcase the SS25 collection and explain its central theme to attendees, which included a range of influencers and big names from the fashion world.
