Today, Alexander Melchers BBM and Nick Grantham officiated the opening of the new Melchers offices in the Subang precinct of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Melchers Group operates as C. Melchers Malaysia Branch and as Nexus Analytics and as Team Medical & Science Sdn Bhd (TMS) in Malaysia, but previously the offices were in different locations. By now bringing them together into one office cluster, we are able to harness synergies and better cooperation under the overall Management of Nick Grantham. The Melchers Measurement & Testing (MMT) business will over the next few months be amalgamated into the Nexus Analytics business; our ISO certified calibration center, which is the only such ISO certified calibration center in ASEAN (!) will continue to be operate under the Melchers Branch entity. Melchers Group continues to invest and develop our business in Malaysia; the country has a sound industrial and growing manufacturing base. At the heart of ASEAN, Malaysia continues to attract FDI from all over the world and is well positioned to benefit from the ‘derisk from China’-strategy many companies are following through. We are happy to announce that the Melchers Group member Nexus Analytics Pte Ltd has successfully acquired 100% of Tritech Scientific Pte Ltd, a Singapore registered supplier of equipment for the life science industries. Alexander Melchers BBM says: “We believe in the upside of technical and engineering related businesses in ASEAN. This acquisition will help us to expand our sales and service capabilities for the whole group and for us to be a more competent business partner in ASEAN.” The company will keep its trade name and over time move into the premises and warehouses of Nexus in Singapore. “I am looking forward to working with Mr. Tong and Mr. Low, the two founders of Tritech, and to provide continuity on one side but additional access to Indonesia and Malaysia on the other side to the supplier base of Tritech.” adds Mr. Nick Grantham, Group MD for Nexus Analytics. Melchers China Invited to the Opening of Freudenberg Group 175th Anniversary Exhibition in Shanghai On August 16, Freudenberg Group held the opening ceremony of its 175th anniversary celebration at the Hengfu Art Center in Shanghai with the theme “Curious since 1849”. As Freudenberg’s earliest partner in China, Melchers was honored to be invited to attend this milestone celebration and share the history of the two multinational German companies’ joint development of the Chinese market a century ago. As a former partner of Freudenberg, Melchers is proud to have participated in and witnessed the development of Freudenberg in China. At the opening ceremony, Mr. Claus Toxvig, CEO of Melchers China, paid tribute to Freudenberg’s outstanding achievements in China and exchanged corporate history books to commemorate the partnership.
