One of the biggest perks of working for an MTU #OSS team is the opportunity to travel the world. 🌏 Here are some snapshots of our ON-SITEᴾˡᵘˢ service specialists from MTU Maintenance Hannover and MTU Maintenance Dallas working on a pair of GE90-115B engines in southeastern Europe. The crew's workscopes included on-wing preservation and MCD checks, among others. #WeAreEngineExperts #MRO #OnSite #GE90

Another week, another GE90: Our ON-SITEᴾˡᵘˢ experts are always on the ready. Last week, one of our customers reported an aircraft-on-ground (AOG) situation after discovering bearing material in a screen of their GE90-110B1’s accessory gearbox. Within 24 Hours, we organized the needed material and tooling and took off for Asia. Once there, we removed the damaged AGB and installed a serviceable one with fresh hardware. We handed over the engine before the weekend and today, it’s back in the skies! #WeAreEngineExperts #MRO #OnSite #GE90

A deployment so nice, we have to show you twice. Recently, our ON-SITEᴾˡᵘˢ serviced three GE90-110/115B engines for a couple of customers, and multi-talented mechanic Sebastian Klocke from MTU Maintenance Hannover put together a short video of what an in-stand preservation looks like up-close. #WeAreEngineExperts #OnSite #MRO #GE90

There it is in all its glory, folks! The very first CFM56-7B to be tested at MTU Maintenance Berlin-Brandenburg, following extensive updates to our Ludwigsfelde test facility over the past year and getting it all licensed last April. We can now test one of the most prolific aero engines in aviation history not only in Europe, but in the Americas at MTU Maintenance Dallas and in Asia at MTU Maintenance Zhuhai. #WeAreEngineExperts #CFM56 #MRO

Not only are our ON-SITEᴾˡᵘˢ crews always on the go and busy, but they look good doing it, too! Here is a behind-the-scenes look from a recent deployment to preserve a number of GE90-110/115B engines in their shipping stands, as well as to conduct some MDP tasks. Now they are ready for our customers. #WeAreEngineExperts #OnSite #GE90 #MRO

The devil is in the details, even on an impressive GE90 engine. During a recent on-site event, Maik Bannier and Jurij Posselt from MTU Maintenance Hannover's ON-SITEᴾˡᵘˢ service replaced a pesky generatorseal. As Maik put it: "The GE90 is a huge engine, but here you can see that even small parts can be responsible for high oil consumption. In this case, the carbon seal from the back-up generator was worn out. After the replacement, the engine is 100 percent ready for further operation." #WeAreEngineExperts #GE90

Though most eyes in aviation were on the ILA Berlin - Pioneering Aerospace last week, over in Dubai, MTU Maintenance was also well represented at the International Air Transport Association (IATA) Annual General Meeting. In fact, it was our 15th year as strategic partner at the event, which brings together more than 100 airlines and well over 1,500 attendees each year. To commemorate the anniversary, Martin Friis-Petersen, SVP of MRO Programs, accepted an award from IATA’s Willie Walsh on behalf of MTU Aero Engines. We are always excited to attend the event and meet our industry partners. We can't wait till next year’s AGM for what will be our Sweet Sixteen. #WeAreEngineExperts #IATA
