70 kilometers can make a total difference: our latest company offsite! Last week, the whole team of nxt statista embarked on a company offsite near Hamburg at the picturesque Schaalsee. Our agenda was filled with company updates, a glimpse into our 5-year development horizon, a prompt battle, a lake tour, and a visit to the local nature reserve. Some even took the chance for a run or a swim! We enjoyed a fantastic time together, returning with renewed energy, fueled by good food and drinks. Stepping outside our usual environment sparked new dynamism and inspired a wave of fresh ideas. ✳️The share of renewable energies in electricity production has increased considerably. In 2023, approximately 54% of the electricity generated came from renewable sources, mainly wind power (28%), photovoltaics (12%), and biomass (8.6%).   Renewable energies, particularly wind and solar power, are subject to significant fluctuations due to their weather-dependency. This leads to variable input into the grid, which must be balanced by other flexible power sources. The increase in renewable energies requires greater flexibility and resilience of the energy system. This involves both technical adjustments and regulatory measures to successfully manage the energy transition.
