LNG/c Haugesund Knutsen, which is shown on the March image of the SCHOTTEL calendar 2025, is a 5,000 cbm LNG bunker barge designed to supply LNG to gas carriers and gas-fuelled vessels such as cruise ships and ferries in the port basin of Barcelona. Built by Spanish ARMON SHIPYARDS in Gijón for Norwegian shipping company Knutsen Group, the LNG bunkering vessel is equipped with two SCHOTTEL RudderPropellers type SRP 240 L (700 kW each), one SCHOTTEL TransverseThruster type STT 2 (600 kW) and the joystick system SCHOTTEL MasterStick. Tobias Oser, Sales Director Merchant at SCHOTTEL Germany: “By combining different propulsion types, we tailored the ship’s propulsion system to the specific needs of this bunkering vessel. This integration boosts operational safety and efficiency, with SCHOTTEL propulsion systems working in perfect harmony.”

SCHOTTEL SYDRIVE-M is a variable and purely mechanical hybrid propulsion system with no need for any costly additional electronic components. It enables efficient operation, lower maintenance costs, reduction of CO₂, NOx and SOx emissions and optimization of fuel consumption. PSA Marine Perú is experiencing this on a daily basis with the PSA Wayra, the first hybrid-powered tugboat on South America's west coast. Thank you for your trust. More information on SYDRIVE-M at https://lnkd.in/gmgtQHz or at sales@schottel.com.
#ONEPSA #Alongside

Our subsidiary SCHOTTEL Far East relies on green energy: As part of SCHOTTEL’s commitment to sustainability efforts, a large solar power system was recently installed on the roof of the building. The solar photovoltaic panels produce an average of 400 kWh per day and are expected to generate 150,000 kWh per year. Since its commissioning in December 2024, the system has already produced an impressive 36 MWh – more than is consumed on site. The excess electricity is sold back to the state-owned power company. SCHOTTEL Far East is one of the first companies in Singapore to install Class A bifacial solar panels, which can use both direct sunlight on the front and indirect light on the back to generate electricity. The solar energy produced will be labelled with Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs). In total, our subsidiary has already been able to save 17 tonnes of carbon dioxide with its new solar power system - another example of SCHOTTEL's ongoing commitment to a green and sustainable future.

Happy 50th anniversary to our subsidiary SCHOTTEL do Brasil! Founded in 1975, SCHOTTEL do Brasil is one of the oldest SCHOTTEL subsidiaries and initially produced the SCHOTTEL Mini-Navigator in its own workshops. Since 1992, the subsidiary has focused exclusively on its core business of sales, service and repair. This year, SCHOTTEL do Brasil will open a new service center in Itajaí, Santa Catarina, strengthening closeness to customers and partners in Latin America while at the same time expanding the group's global customer support. A large-scale administration, repair and warehousing complex has been built on the 10,500-square-metre site, equipped with state-of-the-art technology and a 25-tonne crane lifting capacity for a wide range of services including repair, assembly and maintenance work. “For 50 years, SCHOTTEL do Brasil has stood for flexible and reliable customer service,” says Stephan Camp, General Manager of SCHOTTEL do Brasil. “We are proud of our long-standing success story and would like to thank our valued employees, customers and partners for their outstanding support.
