So happy to see this report come out. FAO's Food and Nutrition Security Resilience Programme was a really interesting program to #evaluate. It aimed to build #resilience by upgrading agricultural value chains in conflict-affected communities in Sudan, South Sudan and Somalia. What stood out was the integration of activities supporting resilient #foodsystems on the one hand, and local #conflict and natural based resource management on the other. The program provides plenty of lessons about responding to the complexity of conflict and #hunger dynamics, not least the importance of: 1. Tailored partnerships spanning local food producers, governance bodies and community-based natural resource management committees 2. Adaptive programming and learning systems informed by community-based outcome-level monitoring systems 3. Community-specific conflict analyses done at the program design stage https://lnkd.in/eubYDDud
