Their technology lowers costs by utilizing waste feedstocks and prevents catalyst deactivation, unlocking massive market potential. With the guidance of the mentors at Sustainable Aero Lab, GERAD is now ready to pioneer a new era in hydrogen production. 💡 💬 Rooholah N. A Multilateral cooperation between the International Air Transport Association (IATA), Airbus, ACI World - Airports Council International, and 32 other organisations has released a cornerstone Concept of Operations of Battery and Hydrogen-Powered Aircraft at Aerodromes (link: https://lnkd.in/dMEabKiz), which defines in detail how hydrogen and battery-powered aircraft will integrate into airport operations. ✈️🌱 Another milestone in sustainable aviation! One of our alumni, Spark e-Fuels, has successfully closed its €2.3M pre-seed funding round, led by Nucleus Capital! The round included Zero Carbon Capital, IBB Ventures, Chemovator, VOYAGERS.io, and 1.5° Ventures, alongside industry-experienced business angels from Shell, Lufthansa, bp, Siemens Energy, and McKinsey & Company. Berlin-based Spark e-Fuels is pioneering the future of #SAF production with its proprietary, demand-responsive, and scalable e-fuel technology. By enabling cost-effective manufacturing powered by renewable energy, Spark is accelerating the transition to net-zero aviation and driving broader industrial decarbonization. With this funding, they’re set to expand their team and focus on their first pilot plant.
