New International Safety Standard for Wet-Laid Nonwoven Lines 🛠️ Voith Paper and Trützschler have jointly developed the first international safety standard (ISO 22291) for production plants of wet-laid nonwovens. This standard is derived from a Voith factory standard, which both companies adapted in collaboration with Austrian Standards to comply with international safety requirements for textile machinery. Wet-laid nonwovens are indispensable in areas such as medicine, hygiene, and construction. The new ISO 22291 allows production plants to be designed and installed uniformly worldwide, ensuring compliance with the latest safety standards. Markus Straub, Director Group Standardization at Voith Paper, emphasizes: “Our goal was to bring safety standards to the highest possible level.
