We were challenged by the fact that our portfolio of services and products has grown significantly over the past few years, as have the customer groups we serve. At a certain point, it became quite difficult to understand exactly what we do and how it helps different customers meet their needs. With this in mind, we have updated our website to provide a clear and intuitive user experience. Great to see that the use of drones is becoming more and more a reality. Interesting read in the Handelsblatt article (German Only) about the use of drones by Deutsche Bahn to monitor infrastructure, partly replacing helicopters. Great use case and hopefully just one of many in Germany that will start using #drones to oprimize company processes. The article also talks about distances up to 150km, which will be very interesting from an operational point of view, as #flight #planning for #BVLOS operations over #longdistances is quite challenging, taking into account drone capabilities, operational limitations and the impact of wind on flight time and energy consumption. This is where Unisphere comes in, providing simulation-based flight planning to ensure that flights over such distances are conducted in the safest possible manner, while at the same time significantly reducing the planning burden on pilots. #DigitalCoPilot #Simulation #FlightPlanning #Weather

The #KAIROS team gathered in Konstanz 🇩🇪for the second bi-annual meeting at Unisphere HQ. A productive two-day meeting that brought together brilliant minds from the #aviation, #ATM, #meteorology and #AI sectors involved in the project to discuss important administrative and technical aspects. The key outcome was to finalize the definition of steps to validate the AI models, which have undergone significant developments since the last bi-annual project meeting. Just returned from an insightful three days in Stavanger kommune attending the Solakonferansen. Since 1987, this event has been a cornerstone for discussions on Safety, Quality, and the Environment in aviation. Here are my key takeaways: Norway's Ambitious Goal: By 2040, Norway aims for fully electric domestic flights, with the government committing 1 billion NOK in support. 💰 Nationwide Test-Range: Norway is transforming into a testing ground for low-emission and emission-free aviation, driven solely by industry demand. This initiative will provide valuable insights into how new flight technologies impact conventional aviation and mobility. ✈ AAM Operations: Initial commercial Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) operations will be led by licensed air carriers. Those with experience in vertical lift safety management are set to lead the way. 🚁 Engaging the Next Generation: High school students were invited to follow the full day of AAM presentations – an excellent move! It’s refreshing to see the future of aviation discussed not just by seasoned professionals, but also by young people who will shape and experience it. 👩🎓 This was a superbly organized event with outstanding presentations.
