We are about to launch our completely redesigned website. But why have we put so much effort into updating our website? We were challenged by the fact that our portfolio of services and products has grown significantly over the past few years, as have the customer groups we serve. At a certain point, it became quite difficult to understand exactly what we do and how it helps different customers meet their needs. To give you an example: We offer different types of services there, which are: 📊Data Analytics Solutions: Advanced simulation and analysis solutions for planning AAM operations & vertiport site selection. 💻NOVA, our SaaS Software Platform: Scalable, simulation-based software that improves efficiency and compliance in flight planning and weather risk assessment. 🔗API Services: Flight planning and weather services that easily integrate with other systems. These solutions are used by #Vertiport Companies 🏢, #Drone OEM/Operators 🚁#UTM & #USpace Companies 🌐#eVTOL/ #AAM Companies ✈️#HAPS 🛰️in Europe, the US, the Middle East, and Southeast Asia. With this in mind, we have updated our website to provide a clear and intuitive user experience. Visitors can now discover detailed information about our products and services, industry insights, and a streamlined contact process. Stay tuned!

Read the recap of Michael Anger on the Intergeo & Unmanned Systems Stage.
🌍🚁 My recap from INTERGEO 2024 🚁🌍 I had the pleasure of attending this year’s #INTERGEO conference in Stuttgart, where the future of #dronetechnology was the center of attention at the "Unmanned Systems Stage." Here are my top 3 key learnings: 1️⃣ Business Case: Drones are an integral part of GIS. Every third booth either works with, directly provides, or depends on drones. Companies are investing in drones because there is a solid business case behind them, even though, in my view, the conference isn't a must-attend for drone operators. 2️⃣ Value Chain: While drones are central to GIS applications, the real value lies in data processing. Drones are essentially geoinformation sensors that provide raw point clouds and massive datasets that need to be cleaned and processed. It’s no surprise that many companies at the conference were named point-pixel-lidar-cloud-ai. 3️⃣ Going BVLOS = 20x More Difficult: (Not)-surprisingly, most drone operations are still within VLOS (Visual Line of Sight). The step to BVLOS (Beyond Visual Line of Sight) adds a complexity factor of 20 for operators, causing hesitation to fully adopt this capability. "The importance of legal frameworks and regulatory developments remains crucial to ensure safe and scalable implementations in this evolving space. In Germany, however, the implementation of EASA rulemaking into national and federal law seems to be ground down by bureaucratic friction between national and state levels, where overlapping responsibilities and procedural hurdles cause delays and inconsistencies in enforcement." Operators must be able to rely on information provided by different states and seek standardization at least at the state level. Great to see that the use of drones is becoming more and more a reality. Interesting read in the Handelsblatt article (German Only) about the use of drones by Deutsche Bahn to monitor infrastructure, partly replacing helicopters. Great use case and hopefully just one of many in Germany that will start using #drones to oprimize company processes. The article also talks about distances up to 150km, which will be very interesting from an operational point of view, as #flight #planning for #BVLOS operations over #longdistances is quite challenging, taking into account drone capabilities, operational limitations and the impact of wind on flight time and energy consumption. This is where Unisphere comes in, providing simulation-based flight planning to ensure that flights over such distances are conducted in the safest possible manner, while at the same time significantly reducing the planning burden on pilots. #DigitalCoPilot #Simulation #FlightPlanning #Weather

The #KAIROS team gathered in Konstanz 🇩🇪for the second bi-annual meeting at Unisphere HQ. A productive two-day meeting that brought together brilliant minds from the #aviation, #ATM, #meteorology and #AI sectors involved in the project to discuss important administrative and technical aspects. The key outcome was to finalize the definition of steps to validate the AI models, which have undergone significant developments since the last bi-annual project meeting. Thanks to the team for their active participation! See you today to visit our colleagues from Flughafen Zürich AG and Swiss International Air Lines 🇨🇭🛫 SESAR Joint Undertaking

Just returned from an insightful three days in Stavanger kommune attending the Solakonferansen. Since 1987, this event has been a cornerstone for discussions on Safety, Quality, and the Environment in aviation. Here are my key takeaways: Norway's Ambitious Goal: By 2040, Norway aims for fully electric domestic flights, with the government committing 1 billion NOK in support. 💰 Nationwide Test-Range: Norway is transforming into a testing ground for low-emission and emission-free aviation, driven solely by industry demand. This initiative will provide valuable insights into how new flight technologies impact conventional aviation and mobility. ✈ AAM Operations: Initial commercial Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) operations will be led by licensed air carriers. Those with experience in vertical lift safety management are set to lead the way. 🚁 Engaging the Next Generation: High school students were invited to follow the full day of AAM presentations – an excellent move! It’s refreshing to see the future of aviation discussed not just by seasoned professionals, but also by young people who will shape and experience it. 👩🎓 This was a superbly organized event with outstanding presentations. If you're interested in AAM and vertical flight operations in Northern Europe, Solakonferansen is a must-attend. I'll definitely be back in 2025! #AAM #IAM #eVTOL #drones #flightsafety #zeroemission
