Eve conducted a visual and sound perception study in collaboration with the NLR - Netherlands Aerospace Centre to better understand how people perceive the impact of eVTOL operations. The team used virtual reality and a realistic sound footprint to simulate eVTOL flights. Over 100 people participated in New York, Orlando and San Francisco. Our findings indicate that there are low levels of annoyance from eVTOL flyovers and provide valuable insights into reducing noise annoyance during take-offs. These results can guide the development of safer, cleaner, and more community-friendly urban air mobility strategies. 🔗 Swipe through for highlights and read the full report at eveairmobility.com/papers. Eve reported its fourth quarter and full year 2024 results today. From selecting all flight-critical component suppliers for the eVTOL to completing the assembly of its full-scale engineering prototype, the company accomplished several milestones on its journey to shape the global Urban Air Mobility (UAM) ecosystem. Eve’s strengths have resulted in the industry’s largest and most diversified backlog, with LOIs for approximately 2,800 aircraft, Services & Support Solutions through TechCare contracts, and customers for Vector, our unique Urban Air Traffic Management (Urban ATM) software. Last year, we also raised a total of $270 million via an equity Private Placement and new credit lines and loans. In addition, Eve has the right partners, experience, and development team to support the foundation for success in the design, certification, assembly and support of eVTOLs and the UAM market in the years ahead. Eve partners with Revo and its parent company Omni Helicopters International (OHI), which has over 20 years of experience in helicopter operations, to advance urban air mobility in São Paulo. Home to one of the largest helicopter fleets globally, the city provides an excellent setting for advancing air mobility solutions and tackling transportation issues. Our latest achievement was a successful simulation using Vector, our urban air traffic management software. Using Revo's helicopters, it tested real-world eVTOL flight scenarios, including delays, weather constraints, and route changes. Sharing this progress feels particularly relevant as we celebrate Helicopter Pilot Day today. Watch the video below for a quick look at this partnership in action. Throughout this series, we’ve covered how the SFAR establishes eVTOL certification and operations standards. Now, we turn to its impact on pilot training and qualification. Preparing pilots for eVTOL operations requires a new approach to training and certification. Gessica Gasparin, our Technical Assistant, explains how the SFAR influences this process and what it means for the future of aviation. We conclude our three-part series on the SFAR and its role in urban air mobility. For additional details on the SFAR, visit: https://lnkd.in/eqspMVuq Thanks, Gessica, Jose Agustinho and Luis Perin, for your contributions. #EveAirMobility #eVTOL #UrbanAirMobility #SFAR #AdvancedAirMobility #MobilityReimagined #FAA #AviationRegulation

After discussing certification standards, we now focus on how the Special Federal Aviation Regulation (SFAR) defines operational requirements for eVTOLs. Establishing clear standards is essential for integrating eVTOLs into urban and regional airspace. Luis Perin, our Head of Business Development for the Americas, explains how the SFAR improves safety and efficiency in the changing mobility landscape. Watch the video for further insights. In the next part of our series, we examine how these regulations influence pilot training and certification.
