🤖 Robotics in Action: Franka robots at robo.innovate Hackathon 2025 The robo.innovate Hackathon at Munich Urban Colab wrapped up after four exciting days of innovation and collaboration. It was incredible to see so many creative solutions, with teams tackling challenges in robotics, AI, and creating.   Kudos to all teams who worked with the Franka robot, like:   - BMW Group - The Automated Unpacking 🌱📦 - Munich Institute of Robotics and Machine Intelligence (MIRMI) at the Technical University of Munich – The winning project using a Franka Arm on a Mobile Platform by Clearpath Robotics by Rockwell Automation to optimize tree growth by monitoring health and providing optimal support for every singe tree.  - RoboTUM – A No-Code Cobot simplifying robot control for non-technical users. - Franka Robotics - Tackling the Vertical Farming Automation    A special thanks to the organizers Nicole Ebner, Arne Rost and hosts of the challenges Firas Zoghlami (BMW challenge), Daniel Duecker (MIRMI project) and Sven Parusel (Franka Robotics). robo.innovate Hackathon is in full swing here in Munich at UnternehmerTUM MakerSpace GmbH! Our challenge? Developing a robotic system that can automatically secure containers, using AI-powered perception and a compliant lightweight robot. It’s all about pushing the boundaries of automation and robotics! On Monday, we hit the ground running. Our team split into two groups: One focused on building a #vision pipeline to recognize the edges of containers (aka corner castings). 🔧 The other started setting up our mock-up, complete with a #robotic arm, #gripper - and even “flying” corner castings! Thanks to RoboTUM for your great support! We’re excited to see what we can showcase at the final Demo Day on Thursday 🚀
