Meet our talented working student, Mark Gumenjuk, who is making waves both in the lab and on the volleyball court! 🧪🏐 Mark is currently studying chemistry at the Technical University of Munich and is also a professional volleyball player for TSV Haching München. "I'm a perfect blend of my parents. My dad got me into volleyball as he was also playing it, and my mom's career in chemistry sparked my interest. Balancing my master's studies and playing in the Bundesliga can be tough, but I’m driven by both my passion for sports and science. Volleyball has taught me to stay focused and chase my goals. I am a competitive guy and performing in front of an audience keeps you always wanting to be on top of your game. What comes to my studies, I'm passionate about battery technology and making a difference in the world. Working at Vincotech is a great opportunity for me." At Vincotech, it's not just individual sports that shine - team sports are in high demand, too. Meet Stefan Simic, Customer Service Specialist at HQ Unterhaching, our dedicated football coach: "Football has been on my mind since I was a child. It feels like it's been with me my whole life. I started playing in the club at the age of 6 and kept it up until this year. I remain loyal to football, but in a different role. I have decided to switch to coaching. I got my coaching license at the beginning of the year. Since this summer, I've had the great opportunity to work as a head coach. I have taken over a youth team and am in charge of it. The boys are aged between 17 and 18. I feel very comfortable in my new coaching role. It's great for me to work with the boys and pass on my knowledge to them. I've always been a fan of team sports and soccer is perfect for that. The shared feeling of victory is indescribable. At Vincotech there are many colleagues who are passionate about sports. Here's Judit László, Production Readiness Manager, Hungary, and her story: „I don't remember the time when sport wasn't a part of my life...it was very important from a very young age, although at first the various forms of exercise were aimed at draining my extra energy 😉. In almost every stage of my life I tried various sports and I also chose some very special ones, e.g. sport-firefighting or spartan-race 😊. I like musical forms of movement, team sports, but from time to time I also lean towards endurance, monotonous, endurance sports. To combine sport, work and family life is sometimes really challenging and need to adjust always to the current situation. In my case, early morning workouts usually work, but there were some period when I could only spare time for it in the evening hours. But this is more than a hobby for me, but rather a way of life, so I tried to find the right place and way to do it. In the past year, I came to the decision to get to know deeper the workings of our body and to search for my limits in a more systematic and grounded way... because pushing them has always filled me with excitement. Accordingly, I also supported my previous, personal experience with a vocational training, and I plan to increase my knowledge in this area in the future as well.” #WeAreVincotech #Sport #Colleagues
