We took to the stage to show how AI is transforming aviation and redefining possibilities in mobility and logistics at AI week Frankfurt. Felix Kaiser, joined by Pauline Nolte from FraAlliance GmbH, led an engaging presentation of our Carry-On Baggage Detection Tool developed in cooperation with Lufthansa Industry Solutions, which drew a great crowd and sparked valuable conversations on how AI can streamline operations in aviation. During our workshop on “Unlocking AI’s Potential," Paul Rathke and Sascha Stenger shared what they have learned along the way to overcome barriers of AI adoption in aviation. The strong participant response reinforced that we’re on the right path to engaging those in the mobility and logistics sector. Thank you to AI Hub Frankfurt for organizing this great event at SPARK Europe and to those who attended our workshop and presentation! #AIWeek2024 #Mobility #Logistics #FutureOfMobility #AIPotential #zeroG #LifeatzeroG

Last week, we had the pleasure of attending the 3rd Lufthansa Group Corporate Influencer Event at Lufthansa Seeheim, joining colleagues from across the Group. Together, we explored the world of social media, content creation, and the impact of AI on our messaging. Thanks to Ksenia Shevchenko, Manuela B., and Marcus Schwing, who gave a deep dive into LinkedIn success, and Lara Sophie Bothur, who shared her personal journey as a Corporate Influencer. We heard from Vincent Hartig and Karolin Sannwald, LL.M., as well as the Telekom team, Stephanie Tönjes and Karim C., on the topic of storytelling with AI. Jürgen Siebenrock also delivered an enlightening talk on the Lufthansa Group Cultural Journey. The workshops over the two days reaffirmed that authentic content is at the heart of successful brand communication, and involving our employees in content creation strengthens our connection with our audiences. Additionally, we recognized that AI is an essential tool for enhancing our social media strategies, helping us stay ahead in the evolving digital space. 📲 We had the opportunity to collaborate with the other business units to create a reel, which allowed us to work with diverse teams and perspectives. This exercise was a highlight as it showcased our collective creativity and spirit as a Group. 👏🏼 Special thanks to Daniela Forciniti and Gabriela Ferreira Antunes, as well as the entire team, for organizing this terrific event. We’re excited to apply our learnings and look forward to what’s to come! ✨ #LufthansaGroupCorporateInfluencer #CIE2024 #ContentCreation #zeroG #LifeatzeroG

It was fantastic to attend the Lufthansa Systems Airline Forum 2024 in Frankfurt, joining over 550 participants from 80+ airlines to discuss the future of airline operations and cutting-edge IT solutions. ✈︎ Our AI assistant solution, which supports decision-making in operations and scheduling, sparked exciting conversations with attendees at our booth. Airline professionals from NetLine/Ops ++ and NetLine/Sched were keen to test the assistant themselves, marking a growing interest in AI-powered tools. What stood out during the many conversations we had was that AI is ready to revolutionize how airlines handle complexity and disruptions, especially with tools that assist decision-making on the day of operations. The discussions around AI’s role in increasing efficiency and reducing complexity showed how the industry is ready for these advancements. A big thank you to all the attendees, especially those who stopped by our booth. Of course, thank you to the entire zeroG team Pavel Solomein, Nikola Aulig , and Ralf Wittiber for your hard work at the booth and Karim Maarouf, who also delivered a presentation during the NetLine/Crew track on how AI can support decision-making in airline operations, specifically during the crew planning process. #AirlineForum #Innovation #AI #AirlineOperations #zeroG #LifeatzeroG

Looking back at two impactful days at the World Aviation Festival in Amsterdam! ✈︎🇳🇱 The last two days were filled with meaningful discussions on how AI and Machine Learning are shaping the future of aviation. From AI-driven virtual assistants and crew feedback analysis to hyperpersonalization and data-driven decision-making, it’s clear that the potential for AI is immense. AI was a major focus at the event, signaling a shift towards more practical, realistic applications that improve efficiency and enhance the customer experience. Yet, many airlines continue to face challenges in how to effectively harness AI for tangible business opportunities. This has placed greater emphasis on actionable, feasible solutions that address specific industry challenges. Additionally, there is a growing recognition of the need for a cultural shift within airlines—building teams' confidence in making data-driven decisions and democratizing access to relevant data across the organization. Another recurring theme was the struggle to attract and retain top tech talent in the rapidly evolving AI and data landscape, which remains critical for airlines aiming to stay competitive. It was a pleasure to showcase our role in providing AI and data solutions that address these specific challenges, and we're proud to be part of the conversation on how airlines can build their competitive edge through innovation. Congratulations to our partners at Lufthansa Group Digital Hangar for winning the Battle of the Airline Apps! 🎉 It’s inspiring to see the joint efforts within the Lufthansa Group delivering real value to passengers. A shoutout to the team Francesca, Dr. Alexander, Ali-Emil, Manuel, and Paul for representing zeroG and delivering expert talks and keynotes! Last but not least, a huge thank you to everyone who stopped by our booth and contributed to these valuable discussions. We’re excited to continue driving data-driven innovation in aviation and look forward to what’s next. #WAF2024 #AviationFest #AIinAviation #DataDriven #Innovation #zeroG #LifeatzeroG

Our Principal Data Scientist, Dr. Alexander Motzek, shared exciting developments during his presentation on large-context multi-modal Large Language Models (LLMs) at the Lufthansa Group. At zeroG, we are continuously driving innovation in the fields of Generative AI and LLMs, ensuring that we stay at the forefront of these fast-moving technologies. Alex highlighted how low-cost large-context models, such as GPT-4o-mini, Gemini-Flash, and Claude Haiku, are transforming the industry. These advancements have rendered traditional retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) approaches obsolete. Now, we can fully ground LLMs in complex company knowledge in a matter of days, drastically improving the efficiency of processes that once took much longer. One of the standout achievements shared was our Lufthansa Systems netline/ops++ model, trained on a 1,000-page manual, which has achieved an impressive 89% accuracy compared to human experts. This showcases our commitment to pushing AI-powered solutions that can enhance operational efficiency. New opportunities are emerging from multi-modality in image processing, where ad-hoc analyses can now reveal instant insights without the need for expensive labeling or pre-training. These advancements signal a new era in AI, and we’re proud that we are at the forefront, leading the charge in these transformative changes for the aviation industry. Exciting times lie ahead, and we are committed to driving even greater innovation across the Lufthansa Group. #GenerativeAI #LLMS #Innovation #zeroG #LifeatzeroG
