Our job is to identify these shifts and translate them into new business opportunities in the travel sector. We are guided by our ambition to take travel to new destinations. We recognize that travel is about connecting and exploring and will always remain a human, universal and transformative experience. At the same time, we believe that we need to redefine what traveling means and include additional fields. To take travel to new destinations, we push ourselves, the Lufthansa Group, and the industry to make travel easier, more convenient, and more enjoyable.

    ✨ We’re celebrating 10 years of InTENtional Innovation at Lufthansa Innovation Hub. Yesterday, we hosted our InTENtional Innovation Fest, bringing together colleagues, partners, friends, and everyone who believes in us and our mission. ✨ 💚 InTENtionality is at the heart of everything we do here at Lufthansa Innovation Hub. During various content sessions, our experts shared their insights across a broad spectrum of fields and topics—ranging from Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) to web3 and gamification, to the art of Kishōtenketsu.  A special thank you to Anita Woelk, Kristian Siebenrock, Kolin S., and Tino Klaehne for offering our guests such a rich and comprehensive look into our work. 💡 A standout moment of the event was the panel discussion featuring experts from the broader travel and mobility tech ecosystem. This session offered us valuable insights into how technology is transforming aviation, viewed through the lens of both investors and startups. Cosmos is a machine learning-driven platform designed to improve the collaboration between airlines and ground handling service providers. Thank you also to Uptrip, Modifly, cloopio, Swifty, and Pendle, as well as to our spun-off startups SQUAKE and NAVIT for showcasing how they create value not only for Lufthansa Group but for the entire industry. 🎉 Alongside the educational aspect, we certainly didn’t neglect the celebratory part of the evening. There was plenty of time to nurture old connections, forge new ones, soak in the beautiful late summer day at our stunning venue, and embrace the festive spirit. A huge thank you to everyone who contributed to this amazing event and to all who joined us, making the day truly unforgettable. We’re just getting started.     How to come up with the perfect marketing strategy for early-stage ventures? 🤔 Without the right marketing strategy, even the best venture can struggle to succeed. In his recent talk, our Growth Marketing Manager, Mateo Mitre, shared valuable insights on how to get started when you're at square one. 💪 These are our top 3 takeaways: 💡 Identify the most effective channels to reach your audience. When planning your marketing efforts, explore every potential channel. Ask yourself the right questions: consider not only the reach and relevance to your audience but also the associated costs, the effort required, and the internal capacity to manage these channels. Don't forget to factor in whether you'll have external support, such as agencies or content creators, to help boost your efforts. 💡 Leverage the marketing funnel to create actionable results. When starting a new venture, tailor your go-to-market strategy to  the 3-step funnel. Focus on awareness to attract attention, consideration to build trust, and decision to drive conversions. Remember, the goalposts may shift depending on your business. Adjust the funnel based on your business goals. 💡 Track, analyze, and optimize. Adjust your strategy as needed. No marketing plan is complete without a strong feedback loop. Continuously track your performance, analyze the results, and adjust accordingly. The ability to refine and optimize based on real-time data is what separates successful campaigns from the rest. Always stay nimble and ready to pivot when necessary.     🌐 🚁 The future of Advanced Air Mobility (AAM) isn't just about flying vehicles—it's about building an entire ecosystem that supports them. As we dive into the AAM Ecosystem dimension of our AAM Readiness Radar Series, we're uncovering a crucial insight: It's not just the aircraft; it's everything that surrounds them. 📊 The Numbers Tell a Story: Over the last five years, 72% of media attention has focused on the aircraft itself. However, essential elements like physical infrastructure, digital infrastructure, and air mobility services have been overlooked, both in terms of visibility and investment. With only 13% of VC investments going into digital infrastructure and a mere 9% into physical infrastructure, there's a stark imbalance that could hinder the sector's growth. 🚦 What's the Missing Link? The path to truly scaling AAM goes beyond eVTOLs. It requires a holistic approach that includes everything from vertiports to air traffic management systems and seamless customer booking experiences.     🌐 How are technologies like Web3, AI, and the Metaverse shaping the customer journey of tomorrow? At our pre-event for Future X Industry, we had the privilege of exploring this question alongside representatives from 15 leading companies. FUTURE X INDUSTRY – Web3, Metaverse & AI is an industry event, co-hosted by Deloitte and Bertelsmann SE & Co. KGaA, dedicated to driving innovation and exploring emerging technologies. The spotlight of the event was on Innovative Customer Experiences. At Lufthansa Innovation Hub, transforming the customer journey through cutting-edge technology is a core focus for us. That's why we were especially honored to host the Future X Industry pre-event at our Berlin office. In her keynote, our Research & Intelligence Analyst, Anna Schneider, shed some light on customer pain points in the air travel industry and how (or how not) Gen AI can support the customer journey of the future. Here are the 3 key takeaways from Anna’s presentation: 💡 The air travel industry has long struggled with customer satisfaction – and it’s not a new issue. There is a persistent gap between experience and expectations, especially in the air travel industry where flight irregularities, opaque luggage and refund policies, and lagging customer service, present as key pain points for passengers. 💡 While the current air travel customer journey is full of challenges, new technologies offer tremendous opportunities for improvement. Generative AI (GenAI) is a prime example, offering tangible benefits such as multilingual support, multi-modal features incorporating voice, text, and image generation, and seamless integration of search, inspiration, and booking processes. 💡 However, Chatbots – often the first use case that comes to mind – are not a silver bullet. Since GenAI is still in its early stages of adoption, with limited real-world testing, customer-facing applications pose a significant risk of misinforming customers (by so called “hallucinations”), which can even lead to legal ramifications..     🎉 We’re excited to announce that our venture Swifty, developed at Lufthansa Innovation Hub, is partnering with Lufthansa City Center!   A month ago, Swifty launched its white-label solution for large travel enterprises such as travel management companies (TMCs), travel agencies, airlines, hotel chains, and online travel agencies (OTAs). Swifty enables these companies to seamlessly integrate AI-based booking into their web, email, messenger, or app interfaces, allowing their customers to book flights, hotels, and trains, in minutes—saving hours of administrative tasks. ⏳   With Lufthansa City Center, we are working with one of the largest German TMCs with 6 billion euros in annual travel volume. We are all the more pleased with the positive feedback we received:   💬 "Swifty delivers relevant offers in seconds with excellently price options. The results have exceeded our expectations, saving time and efforts of our travel agents. Looking back on a decade of experience at Lufthansa Group, Xavier Lagardere and Lufthansa Innovation Hub have always been in each other's orbit. However, much has changed since our early days, our first joint projects, and our very makeshift initial office.
