Pioneering Innovation with Speed! Our #KraussMaffei team has started validating Ultem PEI 20CF (EC004EXAR1) from SABIC for #AdditiveManufacturing on our LSAM system #powerPrint. This marks our very first print using high-temperature material on our #powerPrint system and thanks to our experienced R&D team we were able to start the print of the shown pyramid in under half a day. Currently, we are fine-tuning the surface adhesion by adjusting the print parameters and enhancing the print surface - a task made effortless with our vacuum-fixed printing plates. New powerPrint Machine on its way to the US! Our newest #powerPrint machine has been packaged and is on its way to our Brighton facility in Michigan. Upon its arrival in mid-September, we will begin the setup work in our facility, which will be our new #AdditiveManufacturing Competence Center in the US. The machine will be used to expand our expertise in tooling and mold making at our Brighton facility and will showcase how conventional and additive technologies work hand-in-hand. Starting in early October 2024, the powerPrint technology will also be available to our customers for demos and benchmarking. powerPrint Setting New Standards in 3D Printing: Production of 40 Meters of Privacy Walls We are excited to announce that our #powerPrint machine has achieved a remarkable milestone by printing more than 40-meter long privacy walls. These walls, made from recycled PETG with 30% glass fibers, offer not only beautifully designed privacy but also enhanced durability and strength. These privacy walls are ideal for production areas and provide flexible partitioning solutions. They also serve as versatile mobile trade fair walls. - Production Efficiency: Simultaneous print of multiple walls in one print job with less than 15 minutes changeover enabled more than 300 hours of print time in two weeks - Material Usage: Material reduction enabled by the delicate build up strategy with 4 mm nozzle size and start-stopp movements during the print.  - Reliability in all Dimensions: High geometry conformity for each part sized 2500 x 412 x 1990 mm³ achieved with our advanced thermal management Our #powerPrint technology exemplifies #efficiency, #precision, and #versatility. We recently had the pleasure of welcoming LEHVOSS - Customized Polymer Materials, represented by Matthias Otte, to our AM Tech Center in Parsdorf. The task: to test the processability of their granulate on our KraussMaffei #powerPrint. We determined the optimal process parameters and analyzed the material’s warp behavior, resulting in findings that support us and our customers in future print jobs. This test is part of our four-stage material testing series: QuickCheck, FullCheck, FullCheck+, and Part Validation.
